Come Walk with Me
Come my child and take my hand, we shall walk a while
Only through my eyes, will you truly witness, the glory of a rising sun
My way was never meant to be an easy path to follow
Eden's garden is just a myth, for those who need an escape from realityWatch out, sidestep those sour pools, for it may be your future they hold
All life's creations flourish in these hazardous pools
Let our minds ponder for a moment on what life might have been, had there been no dangers to overcome
Know this with certainty my child, the challenges that face these biological building blocks, will resolve their destinyWithout problems to solve, no means to think will they evolve?
I would not wish for life to be so grey, without purpose or reason
The universe itself depends upon chaos and danger, feeding upon its foods to nurture its existence
Had my children failed to meet the challenge of its storm, they would not have my eyes with which to see the glory of a sunriseMany long miles have humankind yet to travel, with untold dangers and marvels to experience, before the end, when we will walk together as one, into the 'Promised Land'
Expect no easy answers to your prayers, as your future unfolds, for God's work here has only just begun, hold your head on high, cherishing the opportunity of life you have been given, and praise each new dayFOOT NOTE:
Go forth with my blessing, welcoming the future with open arms, this prayer was written for a spiritual service my wife was giving.
