Chapter 1

Silence. A squeal of a Giant Boar rang through Perseus’s ears as it crashed through the undergrowth. He leaped and caught the colossal around the neck with his arms. The animal gored him with his tusk, interlocking his fingers while fighting the pain, Perseus jumps on the Boar’s back and runs it into the ground while choking the pig. He lifted the animal on his shoulders and ran\limped off in the direction of the village.

Perseus stopped at a stream to replenish himself. Without warning a Boa Constrictor leaped at the pig, Perseus jumped on the Boa’s head and plunged his skinning knife in its eye. The snake spasmed and died. He grabbed the monster’s tail and walked to the village.

It would bring him more honor bringing the Yasandra Snake to the village. As the Hunters Right, he would keep the skin. Then the village would take portions of the meat and the back half of the bones.

When Perseus arrived at the village it was noon and Chief Walamuka reminded him of the sacred Hunter Rights and rules of the Yasandra killing. “Skin the beast, and take a small portion of the meat, then leave the rest of the snake outside your hut, so the village can claim what is theirs, and get that gash bound.” the Chief stated.
“Yes, My Chief, I will do as you say,'' said Perseus as he limped off to his family‘s hut.

His mother and sister were running to him as he neared their home. His mother soon fell behind his sister. Vienna, his sister, jumped into the air, Perseus let go of the creatures to grab her. He embraced his mother as she caught up.

The girls went inside to get some wraps while Perseus skinned the Snake and Boar, then took the Yasandra Snake to the front while the Boar was going to be put in the meathouse.

As Perseus dragged the beast into the meathouse, he heard a knock on the front door and the voice of his mother letting people in. Five minutes later he heard whaling as the door to the meathouse locked in place. Perseus ran through the back door to see what was happening. It was a lot to take in but he got it down to three things.

First, Vienna was crying. Second, his mother was whiter than a ghost. Last, there was the Chief’s messenger in the room.
His mother stood and said, “Honey, you are going to Paris, France.”

This was written by Perseus and Nifty.
