Chapter 5

Iris POV

It was a Monday morning in her new dorm, 6 AM. Iris's alarm went off for the third time now. "Uuuhhggg." She groaned dramatically. She finally broke free from her warm covers, and pushed herself to her feet. It took every fiber of her being not to crawl back into bed.

After her shower she got dressed in her uniform. She already hated it. It was a white button up shirt, a dark green tie, and a dark green skirt a bit too long for her taste. There was also a blue blazer with the school seal on it, but she decided against wearing it. She then put her earrings in her triple pierced ears, as well as her solid gold ear cuffs.

She took a look at herself in the mirror and sighed before unbuttoning her top button, and loosening her tie a bit. "That's better." She half smiled.

She walked out of her dorm to see her new roommate pacing the kitchen. Her brown eyes looked up to meet Iris's. "M-moooorning." Iris yawned.

"Thank the heavens, you're up! Do you know what time it is!? We're going to be late!" She said hurriedly. "Jamie, if you were so worried about the tour, why didn't you wake me up?" Iris asked confused.

"I didn't want to be rude. Anyways let's- Where is your blazer? Fix your tie! Ugh! No time. Here." She said, then stuffed a piece of toast in Iris's mouth. Jamie practically pushed her out of the room, and down the stairs.

The tour so far was boring. It got more boring as it went on. That is until she felt a small tug at her hair. "Hey blue hair!" She heard someone call. Iris turned around to see a tall boy with strawberry blonde hair, and green eyes. He had black spike earrings in both ears.

"I have a name." She stated crossing her arms over her chest. "And that would be?" He asked teasingly. "Iris. Iris Raven that is." She said lifting an eyebrow. "I suggest that you don't pull at my hair again." Iris spoke sternly. "Or what? Your daddy's gonna beat up mine. Sorry Iris, but your name won't get you anywhere at this school. Most of us are high up, so don't flatter yourself, blue hair."  The tall boy said crossing his own arms.

"First off my name is Iris. Second, I don't need my father to 'beat up' yours. Now if you'll excuse me, I need to get back to my tour." Iris snapped back.

She turned on her heels only to have her hair tugged harder, pulling her to the ground. "Ow!" She yelped. "Iris!" Jamie shouted kneeling down to down to help her roommate up. "I-im fine Jamie." She stuttered brushing aside Jamie's hands, and standing up.

"What's wrong? Are you gonna cry?" The bully stuck out his lip teasingly. "No. If you so much as lay a finger on me again, you die. Got it?" Iris said sternly, not taking her eyes of his. "Oh. You mean like this?" He asked running his fingers up her abdomen. Before he could get any further though, she grabbed his wrist and punched him square in the nose.

He stumbled back, blood running out of his nose. Iris grabbed Jamie's hand, and quickly started walking, not turning back. Jamie looked at her with wide eyes, then shouted. "That was awesome!"
