Dipper's feet pounded on the hard ground. Legs pumping as he ran faster and faster. The gremloblin hot on his trail. He had decided to go on a mystery hunt, he had asked Mabel to come but she had plans to hang out Candy and Grenda. He then asked Ford but he was busy as well so he went by himself. He knew going into the woods alone was a bad idea. He just wished now that he would have listened to himself.

The gremloblin was gaining on him. Just as Dipper was about to get away he tripped on a tree root and fell. The next thing he knew the gremloblin was on top of him. It raised its right clawed hand and just as it was getting ready to come down with a fatal blow, something stopped it in the air, throwing the gremloblin back. The gremloblin took one look at what had stopped it, and ran away in fear.

Dipper was so exhausted he couldn't see who had saved him. What he saw in his blurred vision was a man with yellow hair wearing a white shirt and jeans. It had begun to rain, as the blond boy picked him up saying, "You shouldn't be out in the woods by yourself Pine Tree. It's not safe."

"Bill?" was all Dipper was able to see before he passed out.
