Chapter 3

Chapter 3: A House and a Friend

I decided that I needed to make a sword. So I quickly headed to my workbench and made a wooden one. Then I went over to the cave to mine some stone luckily this time there wasn't any creatures. When I mined the stone to my great disappointment I didn't get stone in return instead I got a piece of cobblestone. So I got about 50 pieces of cobblestone to expand my house. I expanded the floor to 10 meters by 15 meters. To raise my roof I needed to kill the spider. I made some ladders to get up there. I climbed up slowly so as not to startle it. Then I sliced at its terrifying face. I missed by a few inches and then it lunged fangs ready. It bit hard into my arm making me shriek from pain. I hit it again this time I didn't miss. I put a nice deep slice across its face. It hissed one more time then turned into dust leaving behind 3 pieces of string. "I could probably make a bow out of this string." So after that I expanded the roof to 6 meters so I wouldn't have any problem with it.

I decided to start a mine so inside my house I walled off a corner of my house with 5 by 5 box. I decided to dig a staircase pattern down. After about 25 meters down I ran into a cave and I used about 5 wooden pickaxes. I walled it off because I got exhausted. So I went up made a door and put it into the wall. I looked outside it was night again. So I curled up in my corner and slept. I was woken by a hard knocking at my door. I looked up and realized their was a zombie at the door. I grabbed my sword and prepared to fight. I crafted my bow just incase I find some arrows. I opened the door and immediately sliced at his face and cut off his head. Then dropped something I didn't have time to identify because I got shot in the shoulder by a skeleton. So I ran up and cut off the skeletons bow arm and took the quiver off his back and cut off its head. Then I heard this random crying so I went to investigate I found a terribly built dirt shack. Their was crying coming from inside. I took off one of the block so I could see inside, but as soon as I did there was a scream and this girl ran to the other end of the shack. She looked absolutely terrified and I could relate. I was very relieved to find that I wasn't alone in this crazy and terrifying world.
