Chapter Three: The Bullet That Starts It

Reece, taylor and their little team were landing an mile out from the building they were attacking and they approached on foot to have a look at the base
Ash: so whats the plan taylor
Taylor: so there looks to be two entrances this main gate which seems lightly gaurded and the rear entrance which seems to be a bit more heavily gaurded
Reece: so i suggest you and the others push through the front thats the less gaurded point
Taylor: but what about you?
Reece: i'll take the rear entrance and we meet in the middle sound good
Taylor: yes if you promise to be careful
Reece: i promise
Taylor: good
Ash: erm why are you still here you always skip planning
Reece: as i said at base ive change and someone makes it bareable
Taylor: are you refering to me
Reece: noo im refering to that tree of course im refering to you
Taylor: wow someone is cranky
Reece: ugh i'll see you inside
Reece ran off to rear entrance while the other push through the front gates but as the came through they realised this was ambush as they were surrounded quickly as for reece he was on the second floor and was behind a sniper who was aiming at taylor chest so he ran at him
Reece: HEY!!!
The guy turned around only to be pushed through the glass window with reece and they landed on a van that was parked below killing the sniper as for reece he rolled off and ran to rainbow who had taken cover behind a van thanks to reece's distraction
Reece: hey guys
Taylor: are you ok
Reece nodded
Reece: im going to flank left you guys go right
Taylor nodded and reece ran off and round to left dropping white masks same as rainbow and taylor as they ran right and eventually everyone was dead so they met in the middle but as reece was approaching taylor from behind he caught the glint off a sniper scope and the red lazer that was being projected so he ran and pulled taylor behind him just as the sniper shot and it went through reece's right shoulder making him scream out in pain but he pulled put his revolver and fired one shot and the sniper fell forward out of his hiding place and onto the ground
Taylor: oh no THATCHER WE NEED MEDICAL EVAC NOW
Thatcher: there already inbound
Taylor held reece in her lap as she applied pressure to his wound
Reece: hey please dont cry i'll be fine
Taylor wimpered
Taylor: w...why would you d..d...do that
Reece: becuase your too important to me
Taylor: your important to me too
Reece smiled as he grabbed her free hand
Reece: hey just incase i dont make it i want you too know something
Reece could feel himself growing weaker
Taylor: w...what
Reece: i..... love...... you
After that he passed out from the blood loss and taylor held him close as the heilcopter landed then doc and jager ran out and grabbed reece while ash and thatcher helped taylor on the chopper
Ash: what did he say to you before he passed out
Taylor: h...he said he l...loves me
Everyone gasped before they all looked down they could imagine the pain taylor was feeling right now
Taylor: i never got the chance to say it back
Ash: hey he will make it through
Taylor: i hope so
Thatcher: hey get some rest doc is doing his best with what he has but he can do what needs to be done back at base
Taylor: i'd rather stay awake
After an hours of flying they landed at hereford base and reece was rushed to the medical wing and that was four hours ago and taylor was currently sitting in the cafateria when a tired doc walked in making everyone look at him so he sighed
Doc: he erm he didnt make it
Everyone looked at taylor and they could see the clear heartbreak on her face then the doors were pushed open to reveal
Reece: who didnt make it oh no
Reece was knocked on his ass when taylor embraced him tightly and started crying into his good shoulder
Doc: well i think they believed me
Reece: oh yeah thanks doc
Everyone started to smile as reece stood up with taylor still holding onto him so reece pointed at taylor and they all nodded as he picked he up and walked back to their room
Reece: ok you can let go of me now
Taylor shook her head in his neck
Reece: come on taylor im fine
Taylor still didnt move as she cried into his shoulder again and after a couple of minutes she pulled back but never let go of him
Taylor: did you mean it
Reece: mean what ohh that yes i mean it wait what are you on about so were not mixed up
Taylor: you said you loved me before you passed out
Reece: oh good we're on about the same thing so yes i love you
Taylor sat there staring at him as the tears began to fall again
Reece: erm im sorry i guess
Taylor: no no no i love you too i love you just please hold me
Reece smiled as he buried his face in her shoulder as she did the same but she was talking in his ear
Taylor: i thought i lost you
Reece: its take a little more than a bullet to stop me
Taylor: never scare me like that again but thank you for saving my life
Reece: no thank you for saving mine without you im nothing so thank you
Taylor pulled back and brought a hand to his face which he leaned into and they just stared at each other not realising they were slowly moving towards each other until their lips touch and all of there pent up feelings and emotions came out all in the kiss that would change their lives forever but of course oxygen has got to be in the way so they pulled way when they could no long breath
Reece: fucking oxygen
Taylor smiled at him as he smiled back at her
Reece: i love you and i mean it i guess i always have it just took me nearly losing you for good to realise it
Taylor: yes it did i didnt know how much you meant to me until i nearly lost you and please dont ever do that again
Reece: but i took a bullet for you
Taylor: i know and i really really appraicate that you risked your life for mine but mine isnt worth living if your not in it
Reece: neither is mine oh god when did we become so sappy
Taylor: when we realised we love each other rather than hate each other
Reece: true so how long was i out
Taylor: five hours
Reece: ohhh i can now understand why your like this now
Taylor pulled back to look at reece and he could tell she was thinking about something
Reece: hey what you thinking about
Taylor: im i bad like this you know clingy
Reece: what nooo dont get me wrong all the time might be annoying but it does show you love me
Taylor: i do love you alot
Reece: i know i love you too soo now i must ask do you wanna....
Taylor: YES!!!
Reece chuckled as taylor embraced him again
Reece: you know im starting to love your hugs
Taylor laughed as she pulled away from him
Taylor: good
Reece: now go and shower you stink
Taylor: ahh thats rude
Reece: sorry but go on then we can go and join the others
Taylor: ok
Taylor quickly kissed him then walked towards the bathroom
Reece: cloths tay
Taylor: oh thanks babe
Reece sat looking at taylor as she grabbed her cloths then she noticed his stare
Taylor: what?
Reece: you just called me babe
Taylor: yeah so why do you not like it?
Reece: no no i dont mind it just weird i guess ive never been in serious relationship have i
Taylor: that might be because you kept flirting with me while they were around
Reece: yeah that might be why ohh well it worked for the best in the end
Taylor: how so?
Reece: i got you
Taylor: awww thank you but im going to shower now
Reece: ok and please for the sake of my mental health dont shout again
Taylor giggled as she walked into the bathroom
Taylor: no promises
Reece sighed as he lay down and his bed as taylor showered
Reece: wow my life has seriously changed in the last fourty eight hours
Reece was to busy thinking that he didnt realised taylor had walked out the bathroom fully dressed until she lay on him
Reece: oh hi there
Taylor: hi so its your turn you stink aswell
Reece: yeah of blood, sweat and tears
Taylor: just move your ass
Reece: yes ma'am
Reece grabbed his cloths and disappeared into the bathroom and emerged about twenty minutes later without a shirt and he saw taylor wince
Reece: hey you ok you winced
Taylor: your shoulder
Reece looked down at his shoulder and he could see the stitchs doc had put in to seal his wound
Reece: yeah i know it hurts like hell
Taylor: i guess neither of us are going on missions until your fully healed
Reece: i guess not i just hope i can fire a gun again
Taylor: im sure you can besides i'll be at your side through it all
Reece: i know now can we go and eat
Taylor: once you've put a shirt on yeah we can go
Reece threw on a black shirt and waited for taylor at the door
Reece: come on tay im hungry
Taylor rolled her eyes as she grabbed his hand and pulled him out the door and down the hallway
Reece: thank god you pulled my left arm and not my right
Taylor: im not stupid enough to pull on your injured arm babe
Reece: i know im messing with you
The two walked into the cafateria and everyone went silent as they stared at the two
Reece: erm bonjour
Everyone shook their heads as the approached the two
Ash: its good to have you back
Reece: technically i never left
Taylor hit his good arm with her free hand
Taylor: you know what she meant
Reece: dont suck the fun out of thing babe
Ela: woah hold on babe
Taylor: great how do you plan on explaining this one of dear boyfriend of mine
Reece: haha excatly like that dear girlfriend of mine
The two stared at each other then burst out laughing
Thatcher: so you two are together now then
Reece: yeah
Dokkeabi: how things can change in fourth eight hours
Reece: i know i thought that earlier to think fourty eight hours ago we hated each other and now were together and were also the last hunters alive
Harry walked in and saw everyone
Harry: reece we need you to heal properly so as of now your not to go on any missions
Taylor: so both of us are out until he is medically cleared
Harry: no your still in action
Taylor: no with all due respect harry if he is out then im out im not risking my life if he isnt by my side
Harry sighed
Harry: very well you are on leave until reece is medically cleared to be back in action
Taylor: thank you harry
