Chapter Four: He Is Alive

It had been four months since reece was shot and he was recovering quickly his aim had somehow been improving and same with his strength but that didnt come without a cost as he hasnt slept a full night since his injury so when taylor falls asleep he sneaks out and trains but makes sure he is always back before she wakes up and the only person to know this is harry who is starting to worry about his mental health and today was the day he would end this issue as he walked into the cafateria to see all his operators present
Harry: morning everyone
Reece: yeah yeah morning so can i be cleared yet
Harry: no
Reece: but im physically fine harry
Harry: yes but your not mentally
Reece: wait you known
Harry: i see you catch on quick but yes i know
Reece sigh as he banged his head of the table
Ash: er hello want to fill us in
Reece: i havent had a proper nights sleep since my injury
Taylor: so your still getting some sleep though
Harry: no he waits until you fall asleep and sneaks out to train and gets back before you awake
Reece: i knew it wouldnt last long
Taylor seemed almost disappointed in herself and reece seemed to sense it
Reece: it not your fault tay i just want to be stronger and be able to protect you
Taylor: and this is the best way risking you health behind my back reece were a team and we are team you should tell me these things
Taylor expected him to shout or scream at her but what she got surprised her
Reece: i know and im sorry i should've told you all of of you i guess i was too focused on recovering that i didnt take into account my mental health
Harry: good and since you've realised this doc has cleared you
Reece: wait really
Harry: yes as of now reece and taylor parker are now officially back in action
Taylor: im not a parker harry
Reece: yet we know you will be eventually
Taylor: oh is that so
Reece: yep and i'll make damn sure of it
Harry went to speak but dokkeabi ran in panting
Harry: grace?
Dokkeabi: you need to see this
She passed harry her ipad and there was a picture of a dead man or at least was meant to be
Harry: impossible is this real?
Dokkeabi: dead real
Reece: what tell us
Harry slid the ipad to reece and he tensed up
Reece: impossible he's dead
Taylor: who is dead?
Reece glanced at her with anger
Reece: cayde is alive and he is against us im guessing
Taylor's eyes widened as she let this new infomation sink in
Reece: harry you know what this means right
Harry: yes and you've got full permission
Taylor: hello what am i missing what does this mean we go and fetch him or what
Reece: ohhh nooo we find him and i'll kill the bastard himself or beat the shit out of him either one
Taylor: woah hold on as much as i want to believe this is bullshit you cant just kill him reece
Reece: taylor your either joining me or i'll take someone who will
Taylor: now hold on reece we dont know if this is real or not
Dokkeabi: taylor its one hundred percent real
Taylor sighed
Taylor: i guess we have a ghost to find
Reece: and i know just where to look harry may i borrow some of your operators
Harry: take who you need
Reece: thanks taina come on
Caveira stopped mid drink to stare at reece
Reece: what?
Caveira swallowed her drink and carried on staring at him
Reece: what you staring at mive you little ass wait that came out wrong
Caveira: just accept what you said and i'll come but please no more meations of my ass
Reece: hehe no promises owww taylor what was that for
Taylor: you were being you again
Reece: and what is wrong with me
Taylor: just move it parker
Reece: ohh fine come on taina
Caveira: i swear im going to die with you too
Taylor: i know isnt it great
Reece: hahah im rubbing off on her hell yeah
Harry: Reece i want taina back alive
Reece: i swear i'll die before either one of them gets a bullet

Caveira: we are not carrying your bloodied ass back here
Reece: ohh no i forgot you too are like besties
Taylor: yep and now you have to deal with us
Reece: correction i have to deal with you i dont mind taina
Caveira: i dont know if he is flirting or not
Taylor: ohhh believe me if he was flirting you'd know
Reece: harry can i go solo
Harry: sure
Taylor: WHAT!
Reece: im kidding lets move
The three walked out to the base car park and towards reece's car
Reece: so who is shotgun
Caveira: ME!
Reece: someone is eager
Caveira: sorry so this cayde guy who was he
Reece: really you dont know
Caveira: well i know he is the former leader of the hunter and that about it
They climbed into reece's car and he start to drive towards the hunters old base
Reece: so cayde he was our leader and our brother in arms and he always talked about ridding the world of any terrorists well anyone who stood against the world pretty much but after a mission went wrong me and taylor we the only ones to make it out or so we thought
Taylor: and now we find out he is alive and working with the enemy
Caveira: shit so what do we do when we find him
Reece: as i said before we either beat the shit out of him then kill him or we kill him hell i might do both
Taylor: reece what we gonna do if he isnt against us
Reece: what do you mean?
Taylor: what if he is working with them to take them down
Reece: i never really thought of that but if that is the case im still kicking his ass
Taylor: hmm fair enough oh erm since we have a couple of hours before we reach our old base can i ask you something
Reece: always
Taylor: if i was to die in the field would you move on
Reece: no never
Taylor: and if i wanted you to as my last dying wish
Reece: then i guess i'd honour it by doing what you wished me to do babe i'd never stop loving you and i think trying to love someone else would be very difficult to do
Caveira: why?
Reece: becasue there is only one other person who is like taylor and i dont even think i could love her as much as i do taylor
Taylor: well if it ever comes to it reece i want you to move on
Reece didnt say anything as she stared at the road in front of them
Taylor: promise me reece please
Reece sighed deeply
Reece: i promise as much as i hate you for making me promise it
Taylor: thank you Babe so who is the other one who is like me
Reece: taina
Caveira: me?
Taylor: thats actually true to be honest
Caveira: taylor i er im nothing like you
Reece: you two are more alike than you think
Caveira: whatever you say reece whatever you say
The three operators chatted away as the headed towards the hunters old base hoping to find anything to why cayde was with the enemy but they find more than a reason why
