"It feels good to be up and everything ok again."I tell Sarah.

"Yea I know right." She says feeding me chocolate and strawberries. I'm still at the hospital but I'll be leaving in a few days. I heard Sarah tell Raye that I'm at the hospital. I wonder why she hasn't told Maree and Mar that though. And wouldn't Raye be at the house? Why is she with that Juwell thug?

I shrug it off and continue to eat my strawberries. There's a lot of commotion going on outside of the door. Doctors are rushing furiously to get some girl down to the ER. Sarah looks at me with a worried face. She gets up and goes outside to look. She shrugs her shoulders and sits back down. "I hope whoever that is, is ok." I nod my head. I hope they're ok too. There's no telling how that girl's family feels right now. "Ok doctor we have the girl identified." We hear the nurse say. "She's a Mariah Wilkinson." Sarah and I jump at the sound of our last name. We both run outside to the nurse and stop her. "Wait nurse who is the girl you talked about??" The nurse looks confused. "A Mariah Wilkinson." Sarah and I look at each other. "Ma'am how is the first name spelled?" I ask her. "M-a-r-a-y-e." "OH GOD NO MY BABY!!" Sarah screams as she drops to the floor. The nurse looks even more confused. "Ma'am that's Maraye Wilkinson...that's our daughter." The nurse gives an understanding look. "Oh sir...I'm sorry..she was in a car accident off I-39...people say they saw a red charger swerve in front of her and brake suddenly causing her to go into a rollover. When the paramedics got to her, she had a shard of glass that was covered in blood and she was holding her side. She looked to be about 4 to 5 months pregnant. And she has lost a lot of blood. There may be a chance she and her baby might not make it." She explains to me.

I about almost fainted. Pregnant?? Maraye is pregnant?? Since when? And 4 to 5 months?? I look at Sarah in disbelief. The doctor calls the nurse and she tells us to sit tight and she'll update us on Maraye's condition. Just when I thought things were getting better...they were only getting worse.

I grab Sarah and we head back to my room. I shouldn't be up like this anyway. I lay back down in bed and put my head in my hands. She might not make it. The nurse's words echo in my head. How did this happen? Why did this happen? And to Raye? God please protect my child. I don't know what I'd do without her. Where are the kids at? Why hasn't Sarah told them yet? I reach over to the hospital phone but Sarah stops me.

"I know what you're doing...but they can't come.." "Why not??" I ask her, giving her my full attention. She puts her head down. "They're gone..." I jump upright. "Gone?? Where??"

"They left Kris...they did it to protect us...their problems aren't gone apparently. You wouldn't remember. You were already unconscious." She says looking back up at me with tears in her eyes.

I look towards the door and see that Juwell thug running down the hall. How did he get here ? How does he even know about Raye? I just shake my head.

Things can't any worse.

The nurse walks back into the room with a clipboard and several other doctors. She has a sympathetic look on her face, as well as the other doctors. She looks as if she been crying.

"Mr. and Mrs. Wilkinson?" Sarah and I nod our heads.

"We're sorry for your loses."
