{3rd Person POV}

Felix and Hyunjin had been friends since they were kids. Their mothers were close and they hung out all the time. They knew everything about each other. Well, almost everything.

Hyunjin had come out as bisexual when he was 14. Not long after, Felix came out as gay.
Their parents immediately understood and accepted them.

Now, Felix and Hyunjin are 17, juniors in high school. They have an average size friend group with 7 other people. Woojin, Chan, Minho, and Changbin are seniors. Hyunjin, Jisung, Felix, and Seungmin are juniors. And Jeongin is a sophomore.

They were all very close, hung out all the time. But recently Felix has started questioning his feelings for everyone. He was curious about himself. Was he sure he was gay? He'd never had a relationship before. He thought about everyone in the group.. would he ever even consider dating one of them? All of them were like brothers to him..

One day, some kids at school were messing with Felix at his locker. They were teasing him, prodding at him, messing with his hair and his school stuff.

{Felix's POV}

"Hey! Stop! Give me back my stuff!" I tried to grab my backpack from the tall one but he pushed me down onto the floor. I hit my head against the locker. For a second, there was a ringing but I squinted my eyes open and stood back up.
"Hey! Leave him alone!" Someone ran up in front of me. My sight was still blurry from the locker but the voice sounded familiar. Kinda deep, a little husky here and there. After a second, my vision cleared and I saw Changbin.

"Changbin?"
"You heard me!" He yelled at the 3 seniors but all they did was laugh.
"Changbin.. you don't have to.."
Changbin's eyebrows furrowed and with a swift motion he pushed down the one with my backpack. He grabbed it and handed it back to me.
"Mess with him again and you'll get it!" He picked up the rest of my stuff and shut my locker. He wrapped his arm around me and hustled me out of the school to the bike rack to the west of the building.

"You.. you didn't have to do that." I was shocked and embarrassed. Why'd he do that? He didn't have to go that far. I could've just waited for them give it back..
"Cause, nobody messes with my friends!" He smiled at me. My heart jumped.
Why's he smiling at me like that? He has a cute smile.. Felix!! Stop he's.. he's like a brother! You can't.. you absolutely cannot like him!
"Still you didn't have to do that. They pick on me all the time. I've gotten used to it. They give the stuff back eventually." I rubbed the back of my neck with my palm.
"Well not anymore! If they pick on you just text me or something. I'll come to help!" He kept smiling.
"O..Okay.." I looked away and took out my phone. 5 pm. Shit!
"Crap! I was supposed to meet Hyunjin at my house right now! I gotta go. Thank you Changbin!" I left his grip around my shoulders and waved as I ran off to my bike and started home.
He has such a cute smile.

I made it home and was sitting at my desk, working on my homework as Hyunjin sat on my bed.

"Hey Felix?"
"Yeah?"
"I need to tell you something. I haven't told anyone else and I wanted to tell you first.."
I turned away from my homework to look at him.
"Of course, you can tell me anything."
"I think I have a crush on one of the guys.."
My eyes widened. "Who??"
He sat silently for a bit before blushing lightly. "Changbin."
I felt like I had been pricked. In the heart. Just a small prick but it hurt. I was happy for him but also sad.
"Felix?"
He shook me out of my thoughts. "Huh? Sorry spacing out."
"So does it bother you?"
"Bo..bother me? Why.. why would it bother me?"
"I don't know.. just cause it's someone in our friend group that's all."
"Oh. Well, I mean I'm happy that you found someone you like that much. Whether they're my friend or not."
"Really?" He smiled wide and hugged me.
"Yeah. Of course."
Why does it hurt?

Weeks passed and my feelings only got stronger, but so did Hyunjins. He and Changbin were even closer and Hyunjin talked about him all the time. Not that I can complain. I think about him a lot too.

2 months later Hyunjin asked him out on a date. He said yes.

They went out to dinner and a movie. I was at home. In my room. Alone with my thoughts and a container of ice cream.
Hyunjin was sleeping over that night too and so I saw Changbin drop him off.
He opened the door of his car for Hyunjin and before he let him go to the door, Hyunjin pulled him in for a kiss. The kiss lasted a while and Changbin wrapped his arms around him. They broke apart and held hands for a second before Hyunjin walked up to the front porch.

I hadn't even noticed the tear down my cheek.

I'm so stupid.. for ever thinking I even had a chance. He just thinks of me as a friend. Hyunjin deserves him. Changbin's thoughtful and caring and beautiful. He's so lucky.
And I'm.. I'm..
I'm just Felix.
Who loves you more than you know.
