The story begins the summer before your senior year of high school. You are preparing for yet another year of...wonderful...school. Ah yes, the time of the year where your relaxation, fun, and vacations are stolen from you. Amazing. Your main escape from the reality of your life is your music. Your favorite past time (of course aside from spending time with your friends) was lying in your room listening to those beautiful sounds that found their way from your speaker to your ears. From jazz to rock to pop, you listened to it all. It was hard to name a favorite genre or group, but soon you would find that certain person.

Listening to music wasn't your only escape. You had a talent, a talent that no one else knew about. You were too afraid to show it to anyone, even your closest friends. That talent is singing, performing. You knew you had something but the thought of people actually listening to you and watching you? It excited and terrified you all at the same time. So for now, you decided to just keep it to yourself.

You and your best friends spent the whole summer hanging out together, doing normal teenage things like sleepovers, bonfires, swimming, festivals, concerts, etc. The thought of all of that coming to a halt for another year of hell was just disappointing. Though you would see your friends every day, you won't have time for the usual shenanigans. After all, this is senior year. The final step to the real world. Everything you've worked for all comes to this point. The final decision of what you will spend the rest of your life doing. It was a scary thought, but somehow exhilarating as well. You were afraid to step into the unknown, of course, but at the same time you couldn't wait to have your life officially start. Where it would lead, you couldn't wait to find out.

Of course here's just some general things for "x reader" stories.

(y/n) - your name

(l/n) - last name

(h/c) - hair color

(h/l) - hair length

(e/c) - eye color

(s/t) - skin tone

(f/c) - favorite color

Anything in italics (like this) means your thoughts.

Any time there is a POV change it will be in bold and underlined (like this).

I will be putting songs in chapters where they fit. They will be different artists, songs, and genres depending on what is happening in the story. Generally they will be for what the reader is listening to, dancing to, singing along to, etc. For future reference, when Levi comes into the story, I will be using a lot of Shoose's covers as "Levi's songs" because their voices sound similar to me. I'm completely aware that they aren't the same person. Give Shoose some love because he isn't credited enough for his talent!

That's it! If you have any questions about the story or how I write things, feel free to ask in the comments!
