"Pleaseee mummy come on say yes pleaseee!"
Lazuli stood in front of her mother who was in the process of sharpening some arrows. Her emerald eyes looked upon her daughter with a curious look, seeing her daughter smiling widely and her little hands behind her back, her wavy hair flowing in all directions.
"Honey you know what I think about this idea." She said as she continued to move onto another arrows sharpening it carefully with a piece of metal.
"Mummy please ! I've been saving up for a while now and you know how much I want it!" She exclaimed batting her lashes at her and stares at her mother with the big dark blue eyes in hope of convincing her.
"Its been a month sweetie, so it you couldn't have that..." before she could finish, Lazuli came up to the table and took out a large coin pouch from behind her back. The coin inside making a clattering noise.
"...much." She looked at her daughter who was smirking proudly with how much gold she managed to save up and find laying around.
"Pleaseee?"
"Sweetie this really isnt the greatest idea, you barely know your directions, and Ciel was able to do that when she was your age." She said while still carefully sharpening the arrow, moving onto another one.
Lazuli was going to say something, but held herself back at the mention of her older sister, closing her mouth and looking down at the floor before lifting her head back up.
"I promise I'll be careful, plus, Ciel isn't here, so, that doesn't matter, and I do know my directions! I'm pretty sure that east is up, so, yeah !" She said unsure of her answer but still looking confidently into her mother's eyes.
Sky looks at her daughter and sees the little spark in her eye, sighs to herself deeply and giggles slightly.
"How could I say no to a face like this" she says smiling at Lazuli. "You might want to go quickly though, Kaize is leaving the tribe soon as travers do."
Lazuli smiled wider than before which she didn't think she can do, gave her mother a quick hug before grabbing the coin pouch and running outside her house. She ran carefully not to trip to the mountain side, where there was a pathway leading to the base of Erincraig, the tall snowy mountain Lazulis tribe lived at.
She walked to the pathway and about 50 feet ahead of her she saw the red and tattered robes of a familiar traveler who visited once every few weeks to trade and tell stories of the places he has been to.
"KAIZE WAIT!" She shouted at the short elvish man, probably in his third century now, wearing dark red and blue robes that have several stitching on them and many pouches and bags on his belt and his back. He turned around and saw the little hair genasi girl wave at him and gesture for him to come back.
