- Travelling Through -

Stomping out the last sparks of the fire, Lazuli has packed her equipment back into where it was the night before, and decided to continue on her journey through The Wild Hills.

She walked for what felt like miles upon miles of giant green trees towering above her, letting the little rays of sunshine get in through the crowns of the bark-covered friends below.

She spent a few nights camping at several different locations within the forested area, only to then continue routine she has kept up since she can remember, smiling to herself as she remembered how she met her black furred friend she now considers family.

Trudging through the woods, the little black haired girl was trying her very best to find a water source, walking aimlessly and listening for a hopeful sound of water running down a stream, or a sudden splash of water from a lake.

She stopped every few seconds to make sure she hasn't missed a single squeak, a single creek of sound as her throat was desperately trying to survive with the minimal hydration it had.

She's already gone two days without water, her hair matted and covered in dirt, her hands red and forearms bruised from falling over branches that happen to trip her up from time to time.

With the minimal amount of light coming from the shining moon above, streaks of silver light creeping through the crowns of the tall trees, she managed to find a tree with branches low enough for her to climb.

Swinging the obviously too big for her bow over her shoulder to her back, she careful hooked her hands around the lowest branch, and swinging her legs over it, carefully climbing one by one but came to a stop at about 10 metres above the ground, as she heard a strange sound, a sound she never head before.

It was a quiet whine of some kind, stopping every few seconds only to be repeated shortly after, the sound echoing through her ears and bouncing off of trees making it seem louder and louder.

It was an animal.

It was a cry for help.

She climbed her way down, carefully to not make too much sound, as she laid low to the ground, quietly following the beasts calls.

It didn't take long before she saw the animal curled up next to a big tree, its bark dark and old though the leaves full of life and colour. It laid there in a ball, shaking, scared, shocked of whatever happened prior to Lazulis arrival.

The girl wanted to help but she didn't know how, considering that she was a very easy and unprotected target, but something bigger than logic took over as she started moving towards the furry animal, almost forgetting that she could have just delivered the food to its devourer.

As she got closer she started to see the fluffy black tail and pointed ears that were by the sides of its head, but what intrigued her the most where its eyes.

The beautiful, beaming blue eyes of this lonely and scared pup.

The moon sneaking its way through the labyrinth of leaves, strikes the shaking animal to reveal its black fur that has been puffed up due to the clear fear and adrenaline running through its veins, as the moon slowly moves across the midnight sky, it reveals a dark liquid around the pups snout and nose, but also on its legs and paws.
