four; friends

(a/n: this will be wrote in third person so it will be no one's POV but i will be calling twelve her real name (mabel) in this, dustin, will, lucas, and mike will call her twelve since they don't know her real name)

"guys, c'mon, this psycho moved to our school to kill everyone, i told you guys we shouldn't have let her sit with us!" lucas yelled at the three boys in front of him.

mabel felt a pang in her chest. "kill...everyone?" she asked, confused. "why would i do that?" she questioned the four young boys, hurt.

"you're absolutely insane" lucas stated. "i'm not joking, i have powers" mabel told the black boy. "yeah, right, prove it" he scoffed.

the girl slowly lifted a pillow on the couch beside her, tossing it to lucas. it hit him directly in the face, causing her to giggle. "holy shit" dustin's breath hitched, due to him being amazed but slightly scared.

"psycho" mabel grins, not knowing what the word meant but wanting to say it anyways. "do you even know what that means?" mike asked her, still shocked from her unbelievable gifts, her telekinesis.

"no" the dirty blonde frowned, looking at the ground. "it means you're crazy, that you have no mind, no brain" will tried explaining.

"lucas called me a psycho, that means i have no brain, right?" the girl asked, clueless. "lucas..." mike began, picking up the pillow mabel threw at the black boy and throwing it onto the couch next to mabel. "...is an asshole."

the girl looked down at her lap, chuckling. "asshole" she repeated, it reminded her of what kali called papa to his face. "my sister..." she began to say, but stopped immediately, not wanting to share anything with the boys she only met today.

"your sister...what?" dustin asked, curious. "never mind" she quietly said. "i have a sister, her name is nancy" mike smiled. "can you tell us about your sister?" will asked the girl.

mabel shrugged, giving in. "i have two sisters" she began, her eyes got a bit watery at the remembrance of her beloved sisters. "their names are jane and kali, i love them so much, but i had to leave them. i regret everything and i just hope that someone will help them escape" she told the boys.

"kali was 17 years old, almost 18. jane was 12. kali was very pretty, her hair was grown down to her shoulders, but papa cut it off again. jane has constant head shaves, i never got to see her hair grown out like kali's. kali is indian, and jane is american. i miss them so much" the girl said too much.

she instantly realized and rubbed her eyes, making them puffy and red. "i shouldn't have told you that" she sighed.

"twelve..." mike sat next to mabel. "are you safe?" he asked her. she looked up at him. "no" she simply responded, looking down at her lap again.

"were you kidnapped?" dustin rudely asks. mabel let a painful laugh escape her lips. "you can call it that" she tucked her shoulder-length, dirty blonde hair behind her ear.

"by jennifer!?" will asked, horrified. "no" she said, the tone in her voice sounded like she thought will was stupid. "by papa" she told him.

"papa? is that your dad?" dustin asked. mabel let out a mm sound. "kinda, i was taken from my mother as a baby by him" i told them. "do you remember your mother?" will asked.

"i was so young when he took me, but my mother's name was heather miller" she nodded, remembering. "MIKE, TIME FOR DINNER" mike's mom yelled from upstairs.

mike rolled his eyes. "COMING, MOM" he yelled back. "how old were you when you were taken?" he completely ignored his mom. "about three" mabel told him.

"so you were kidnapped, because you had powers...did your sisters have powers?" lucas asked, finally interested in what they were talking about.

"yes, kali could do this" mabel closed her eyes, making the four boys see kali. "who are you!?" mike screamed at the fake indian girl in front of him.

"mike! it's fake" mabel laughed. "try to touch her" she grinned. the boys all reached out, trying to touch "kali". their hands went right through her arm.

mabel made "kali" giggle. "i'm fake, but this is what i look like, and that's what i can do, i can get inside people's minds and make them see anything, everything" mabel made "kali" say.

mabel made "kali" disappear, but not before she said bye. "bye! hopefully i can see you guys in real life," kali giggled, then vanished in thin air.

"so you basically have the features your sisters have?" lucas asked. "no, i have much more" the girl said, wiping the blood from her nose. "and jane can do this" mabel knocked over a bookshelf, but quickly picked it back up using her mind.

"MIKE, WHAT WAS THAT NOISE" mike's mom asked. "NOTHING MOM" he yelled up. "YOUR GUYS' FOOD IS GETTING COLD, GET UP HERE" she yelled.

mike began climbing up the stairs. the other four followed. they all went into the dining room, sitting down.

"ted, this is twelve, mike's new friend from his school" mrs. wheeler smiled at mabel, telling what appeared to be her husband about her.

mabel smiled. ted smiled back. they all began eating and talked for a while.

~After Dinner~

when dinner was finished, lucas, mike, will, dustin, and mabel went to the basement to hang out. the boys taught mabel how to play dungeons and dragons, she caught on quickly.

after 45 minutes of playing d&d, jennifer called the basement phone. mike rushed over to the phone and answered.

"hello?" he asked. "hey, this is jennifer, twelve's mom. may i speak to twelve?" jennifer asked the boy. "sure" mike handed the phone to mabel.

"hello?" mabel asked through the screen, copying what mike did. "hey, honey. i'm coming to pick you up soon, be ready, you have school tomorrow" jennifer told her.

"okay" mabel responded putting the phone back. "is everything ok?" will asked. "jennifer is coming to pick me up, i have to go" mabel told the boys. "oh okay, we can wait with you outside" mike told her.

"ok" they all started walking to the front door, mabel said bye to mr. and mrs. wheeler. in about 15 minutes, jennifer pulled into the driveway.

mabel hugged the boys, waving and walking to jen's car. "hey, twelve, how was it?" she asked, when mabel got into the car.

"i think i've made...what do you call them?" she asked. "friends?" jen asked.

"i think i've made friends"
