SEASON TWO
CHAPTER ONE
MAD MAX
PINK COLOR AND STRAWBERRY FLAVOR in combinition with a hidden bubble gum inside that only showed up if someone sucked it until the end and a person's tastebuds were more than extraordinarily satisified, were everything Monty needed when she watched the new flaming hot guy step out of his blue Chevrolet. She was sucking on a pink and strawberry flavored lollipop which had a gum hidden inside if she licked until the end.Clad in all denim, which unlike many times she thought was tricky and looked stupid, he took in his surroundings, taking a drag from his cigarette. His gaze lingered on Monty a second longer than it did on Carol and Tina, Monty's friends, and Monty thought she was about to die from a heatstroke as he winked at her. Get your shit together, it's October.
Never in her life had she expected to see a guy as attractive as him. Sure, she'd seen plenty of good looking guys in magazines and on TV but Hawkins? Nope, never in her wildest dreams.
She turned her head away from facing him and looked at Carol, who patted her knee to get her attention. "The new guy," she said, closely watching Monty stare at him.
After the fight between Steve and Jonathan, Monty had ditched her friends, Carol and Tommy, for Steve. But, after a month or so, Monty and Carol sat together at lunch in school coincidentally, and Monty started talking about the hairstyle tips by Farrah Fawcett, and Carol almost fainted and said, "Thank God we're best friends again, who was I gonna talk about this with? Tommy?" and both of them burst out laughing.
"Who is that?" Monty finally asked, not being able to hide the immediate attraction she felt towards him.
"I have no idea," Tina said, giggling, "But would you check out that ass? Just look at it go."
The girls giggled and Monty couldn't take her eyes off him. That was, until someone called out her name, "Monty!"
She turned around to face Steve, who stood next to Nancy by his car. He waved her over and Monty raised her eyebrows.
"Ugh," Carol let out and Monty smiled at him, before she and Carol made her way to school, completely ignoring him and his plea to go over to him.
"Why did he call you over? I mean, you two broke up a year ago," Carol said as the two reached Monty's locker, leaning her back on the lockers as Monty opened her own.
She lit up the candles and shrugged, "Dunno," she simply said. Yes, Steve had dumped her almost a year ago now. No, she hadn't got over it yet. She didn't know why, she just couldn't forget about him, especially when he kept calling her and talking to her and trying to get her attention.
