Just one atom?

Tony's new problem

We left the ally and ran to the tower as fast as we possibly could. When we arrived, I ran straight to tony's bathroom and pounded on the door. I had told Steve to look around for anyone in the house. There was soft sobbing that stopped as soon as I knocked on the door. "Tony, let me in, I know what you've done" I heard him get up and a couple of seconds later, he opened the door. He looked horrible. He had tear-stained cheeks and red eyes. What could have made him like this? Maybe he saw me and Steve. But that can't be enough to make him like this, can it? I grabbed his wrist and revealed his arm. There were deep cuts up from his wrist. I gently pushed him back in before me and shut the door behind me so no one saw his arms. "Why did you do it? You know about our pain tie, did you think I would forget?" He kept his head down and pulled his arm away. "I'm sorry" he was quiet and looked like a little kid getting told off. "It's ok Tony. Why did you do it?" I wanted to know the reason for why he did it, but I also didn't incase it was about me. "I was upset so I went for a drive to calm down, I drove past the ice-cream and saw you and Steve. I drove home, got drunk, and now I'm here" his eyes were tearing up so much they looked like two puddles. I took off Steve's jacket and put it on Tony "Come on, let's get you to bed" I tucked him in and went to find Steve.

I found Steve in the kitchen, looking in the fridge. "Hey, I'm sorry I never told you" he sighed then turned around. He didn't look sad, but instead wore a face I could only describe as 'I'm not mad, I'm just disappointed'. "It's ok Y/n, but why didn't you tell me before?" I knew why I didn't tell him before, I didn't want him to be jealous and I didn't want him to leave me. "I thought you would leave me or something, and it never came up so I never mentioned it" He seemed to be deep in thought. Then, he looked at me with eyes that no man could lie to and said: "do you love him?" That broke my heart, but I couldn't help but think about it. What if I did love Tony, and I was just refusing to believe it? "I don't know" my eyes were tearing now, just like Tony's were. "Y/n, I don't want to do this, but I think it's for the best if we weren't going out anymore." He had his head down and I could tell he was as upset about this as I was. I nodded my head a bit and said "I'm sorry you feel that way, it's ok if you want to end things, I understand" The tears spilt over and I was crying. Steve came over and hugged me "I'm sorry, I really am" then he left.

Shortly after he left, I sat down at the table and silently cried my eyes out. No one but me came on Tony's floor, so I knew nobody would see me. Well nobody but Tony, but he was asleep. Then someone put their hand on my shoulder. I could tell it was Tony, so I wiped my eyes and turned around to face him "You should be sleeping" he looked tired and still had his arms covered "and you shouldn't be crying" I chuckled a little and smiled, "I'm ok Tony, go back to bed" he shook his head silently and sat next to me, taking my hand. "It's ok to not be ok y/n, you can talk to me" I trusted Tony with all of my heart, but I just don't share my emotions, to anyone. But maybe just this one time I could tell tony, just once. "steve broke up with me" I tried to keep a straight face but my emotions got the best of me and the tears rolled out. "it's ok, it's ok, let it out... when did he do this?" I looked at him and saw a pure determination in eyes. I didn't want to tell him so I wiped my eyes and said "it's ok, I'm fine, you don't need to kill anyone" Tony chuckled and said "ok I'll just beat him up a little bit then" I rolled my eyes and laughed with him. "My hero, come on, let's get you to bed," but before I could leave, Tony grabbed my wrist and said "how about we go for a ride?" He had his trademark playboy smile on his face. "What kind of ride?" I asked. "In my suit, come on, live a little y/n" he seemed really awake so maybe going on a ride with him could get him to calm down a bit, so I nodded my head and put on my shoes.

When I came back, Tony was in his nanotech suit with his face showing. I loved the nanotech because I could see more of his perfect body. "Are you in your pyjamas?" I nodded my head and gave my reason, which was that I simply didn't care. "Fair enough, come here" I slowly walked over to him and he grabbed my waist, "are you ok?" He saw my nerves, he knew I didn't like hights," yeah I'm ok..." I tried to sound sure of myself but it was kinda hard while Tony was going to be holding me above Manhattan. "If you get too scared just say and we can stop ok?" He reassured. I nodded my head, so he put down his mask and took off, holding me tight to his side. The night sky looked almost as beautiful as all the lights below us while we soared through New York. We flew over Central Park and round the Empire State Building. Then as our last stop we sat on the top of the Statue Of Liberty. "This is beautiful Tony" the view was amazing, all the lights below made a wonderful sight. "Do you wanna go back now?" Said Tony. I was getting really tired so I nodded my head with a yawn. When we arrived back I walked Tony to his room, saw him down and said goodnight, "night Tony" I was turning to leave when he grabbed my wrist. I turned around and he pressed his lips to mine, kissing me. It happened too fast for me to react probably, so after about 3 seconds, I pulled back and ran away to my room.
