Hunted in the Woods

Chapter 3

Hello,

I am working on making each chapter longer, I briefly edited this but I am sure there are more mistakes I've missed. This chapter is Aiden's (the boyfriends) POV. I don't usually switch POV in my stories but this one feels like it fits. The next chapter is from Sarah's POV and will be posted sometime this weekend or early next week. If you enjoy these chapter leave a like or comment :). 

Little note about about myself, I always listen to music when I write and sometimes I will listen to the same song on loop until I am done writing the part I feel that song goes with. If anyone is interested in some of the songs I listen to while writing inbox me and I can send them your way! :)

Friday 7pm

Aiden

I looked at my phone for the hundredth time. It was unlike Sarah to not call me if she was going to be late, or decide to stay at her Mom's house tonight. There was a knock at my door and I got off the couch to answer it expecting to see Sarah.

"Hi, are you Aiden?" I looked at the pizza delivery man and signed.

"Yeah." I grabbed my $35 sitting on the table by the door.

"Thanks man have a goodnight."

I shut the door then set the pizza boxes on the counter in the kitchen. I grabbed my phone and still had no calls. I decided to try Sarah's cell again but it went straight to voicemail. Maybe her phone died.

I made myself wait ten more minutes, I had a bad feeling wash over me then put my jacket and shoes on. I got in my car and drove towards Sarahs parents house. I'm sure I'm overreacting but I just can't shake this feeling.

I arrived Sarah's parents house and noticed her vehicle wasn't here. I walked up to the door and knocked twice. I could hear someone walking to the door and Mason shouting Mommy's home.

Mrs. Doland opened the door and her face fell when she seen me.

"Hello Aiden, is Sarah with you?" Mason shoved through her side and seen me.

"Aiden!!" Mason gave me a hug then looked passed me.

"Where's my mom?"

I felt my blood run cold and seen the look in Mrs. Doland's eyes.

"I thought she was here, I've tried calling her for the last hour and it keeps going straight to voicemail. The mall can't be that busy, she should have been here by now." 

"Mason how about we go for a ride to the mall to see what is taking your momma so long." Mrs. Doland tried to say calmly but you could hear the shaking in her voice.

"Yeah!! Maybe I can get a toy while we are there." Mason shouted and started jumping.

"Mase get your shoes on and I can drive." I said while giving Mason a small push inside the house.

Mrs. Doland mouthed thank you then disappeared into the house to get Mr. Doland.

A few minutes later we were on the road headed towards the mall. It was a fairly silent trip other then Mason commenting about things we passed along the way.

We arrived at the mall and I pulled into a parking spot.

"I can run in and look through the mall, if you guys want to drive around and see if her car is here." I said starting to feel my anxiety kick in.
