Chapter 12: Dreaming

The tiny door slammed shut behind me. The bright light started to dim down, A forest came into my view. Large trees stood as tall as a building in the city. I stood up, and started walking the dirt path that lead into the forest. I couldn't tell where I was, More confused then I was I started hearing a voice I hardly knew. I followed the strange voice and came to a three-way passage at a sign that said:

The voice started to get louder and a image appeared on top of the sign post.

"Which way will you go, this way or that way?" Pointing in each direction, I could see that the image was a green and black cat, not just any cat. It was Nepeta! 

"Nepeta? Where am I? Whats going on?" 

"Purrr'our in a dream."

"A dream?"

"Yes, Now which way? Sollux, or Karkat?" She pointed in both directions again. Sollux or Kakrat

"You mean they're this way?" I pointed to the left.

"No Sollux is that way, Is that what you choice?" What I choice? Do I choice now? But this is just a dream. . . Right? 

I started to walk the way, Nepeta said was Sollux. I looked at at the other path, but it was gone. Looked as if a black hole consumed it. I kept walking the long stone path, Nepeta was following me in the trees. I started to hear Sollux's voice coming in all directions in the trees on both sides of the path. But I don't remember him telling me any of what I'm hearing.

"He, told Don't you. Didn't he?"

"I WON'T LIE TO YOU, HE'TH RIGHT. HE'TH NOT LYING ABOUT U'TH!"

"BUT YOU KNOWING ALL OF THI'TH ALMOST GOT YOU HURT!

"I'm th'orry, we all lied to you. I'll try to keep you 'th'afe, I promi'the"

I was puzzled, who was telling the truth? Whats the big secret everyone is keeping from me? And why would they have to lie about it? It has to be more than to keep me safe. 

I kept walking it felt like I've been walking for a thousand years, my feet hurt and it was getting darker. I start to hear a crumbling sound behind me, I turn to see the ground caving in.

"Oh my god." I start to run as fast as I can, but the ground gave-way at my feet and I started to fall, I saw Nepeta jump in softer me laughing and giggling. 

"AHHHHHHH!" I was screaming for dear life and I fell, I saw the ending of the hole and closed my eyes ready for impact. I fell on something soft, It was a couch. EWWWWWWW covered in slug. I quickly got off the sofa and looked around I was in a rose garden. I backed away as Nepeta slowly fell down but didn't land on the couch she just stopped mid-falling and floated over to me. I turned around and bumped into someone, Gamzee. Something was diffrent, he had yellow, orenge, and red horns. He was smoking on a long pipe that swirled around him and every time he blew the smoke out it just turned into a slug bubble the same color as the stuff I landed in. Faygo?

"Who are you, Motherfucker?" He asked narrowing his eyes.

"(Y/N) (L/N)" I said, Why wouldn't he know my name? What the fuck is going on?

"Are you sure you are who you say you are, motherfucker? WHO ARE YOU?" He yelled getting closer to my face. I repeated my name again. still he said "WHO ARE YOU, MOTHERFUCKER?" 

I closed my eyes and toke a deep breath and yelled back. "I DON'T FUCKING KNOW WHO I AM, ANYMORE!" That was it. I truly didn't know who I was, everyone was lying to me keeping secrets I didn't want to be kept from. Gamzee slightly smiled at me, and took a big huff of the faygo? smoke? and blew it out as hard as he could, I started to caught and gag. The room was filled with smoke suffocating me, I started to realize I wasn't in the rose garden anymore, I was in a room. laying in a bed. Smoke filled my lungs I swung from the bed and ran to the door, I banged on it and tried to open it, but something was holding it closed. I ran to the bedroom window, I saw Karkat on his knees looking as the flames grew higher.

"KARKAT! HELP ME!" I yelled banging on the window, but he didn't look up at the window his eyes were focused on the fount of the house.. I started to get dizzy, I fell to the ground but I didn't feel anything.I closed my eyes and tried my best to breath but I couldn't, I was going to die. . . . . .

I heard a bang on the door, next thing I knew I was being picked up and carried out of the fire to outside. I was tried and ready to sleep for a long time it felt like. I was layed on the cold, wet grass. I wanted to see who saved me but I couldn't open my eyes not even to save my own life. They put they're cold hands on my cheek and I felt drops on my face as if it was fair but it wasn't, it was tears I could here the person crying.

"He, told Don't you. Didn't he?. . . .I WON'T LIE TO YOU, HE'TH RIGHT. HE'TH NOT LYING ABOUT U'TH!. . . .BUT YOU KNOWING ALL OF THI'TH ALMOST GOT YOU HURT!. . . I'm th'orry, we all lied to you. I'll try to keep you 'th'afe, I promi'the" I knew that voice the voice of the guy I knew and loved, he pulled my head up whispering 'I love you.' and kissed me, deeply. I wan'ted to kiss back and hold him but I was numb and weak. Things started to feel funny again, I screamed in my head "No please don't take this away from me." But I didn't feel Sollux's lips on mine.

I opened my eyes and found myself sitting at a long dinning table that went a mile it looked like, tea cups and pots layed out all over the table. I grabbed the tea cup sitting in front of me, with instinct I looked at it and saw my reflection in the yellow hunny tea. I didn't look the same, My hair up in a perfect hair-bun. I sat the tea cut down and looked at the strange gown I was wearing, It had a loss silk layer that was yellow and when to my knees, and wore a red apron. I looked at the other end of the table to see Sollux, drinking tea.

"SOLLUX?!" I stood up and ran to him, he looked at me with sad eyes. He stood up in front of me, he swung his long arms around me, dropping the cup in the process, I hugged him back burrowing my head into his chest. I started to cry, because it felt like a thousand year since he held me in his embrace. 

We stayed like that for the longest time, A bell rung. I pulled away from Sollux's chest and looked around, it wasn't a bell it was a ticking sound. A path apeard out of no where, coming from the path was John and Dave running our way. yelling that they were . . . late?
