Who you think I am

To the girl who puts make up on to hide her flaws,

Who swallow pills to make up for her soul's fallacies,

The girl who changes her walk to forcefully expose her curves as if being

flat was sin,

who smooches with superman in her sleep but settles for the villen in her light shared moments,

A girl who defines a slap or two as romance,

To the girl who is Christian enough not to abort,

Do not let my words convict you because you are not your choices, your future hangs your present on a tight rope.

Abort those lies about you, they are not permanent but dark marks trying to permiate on your skin.

Forget, hold your head high and tell that guy... you not his kind.

The kind who's self esteem is beaten and bruised up waiting for him to play saviour forgetting the saviour has already come.

Let him know you are done.

Done being the girl who hides behind his ideas of perfect by suffocating what is already done and dusted by the master of perfection.

You are gold and you best believe it baby,

You are not someone's recicled garbage gotten for sale around the corner, you are a lady!

Do not be afraid to lay naked to yourself, be bare to God's inspection

Let him redo the errors this world has marked on you,

Fulfill the promises broken but were made for you.

Let him give you a new script of worth a fresh self impression

Tell me... why do you cry?

Why do you sadden your spirit with acid tears of lies?

Why quicken aging by frowning and laughing less?

Do you not believe what I say? You piece of strength!

You do not need another to validate you.

God created you as a whole, complete and lacking nothing you are all you need!

Reborn, spread your wings and feel how good the breeze is underneath your wings

Grin so hard your lips threaten to crack

And don't stop there, laugh...laugh like life was your first joke.

So hard you almost choke,

Choke on the joy the Lord has planted in your heart,

Joy that invades all your insides and tickles you to your maker.

So if your past comes crawling back to you,

Hold its hand, look it in the eyes and say "I'm not who you think I am"
