When tears don't scream loud enough

You try and hold it in but the gash of air pressing down and up your throat is too real to ignore.

Biting your teeth cos being unassailable about it is a true practice of self control they told.

Your heart gets sour and the taste of a loved one is a blurry show that you attempt to feel but heart's so numb it can break a wall if you throw it hard enough and there...no feelings shared.

When tears don't scream loud enough.

Your voice so utterly clenched, blocked, for your spirit is tearing up with screams so loud the heavens could crack.

As you scream in silence, you feel those words echo inside you.

When tears don't scream loud enough...

Your mind, it has the ability to peal the pain away as if it never existed.

When you can't stop crying, every night you pick yourself up only to crumble the next morning,

Forcing a smile till a sad face doesn't feel any different,

Feeling like the words in your prayer slowly disappear with altitude,

When death isn't an issue, your cry isn't heard and no one understands.

But get this; he sees you, better yet he comprehends.

He won't leave till the tears on your face make way to sight for the full blown vision of light that's in front of you,

that sweet breeze that dries your tears, the inner voice that talks you to sleep, that almost painful punch in your chest that reminds your heart to beat, the force in your eye lids that separates them...

that's him saying "when tears seem like their not loud enough, your heart is...and I hear every pounding alphabet from the pain in your stomach to your stuttering mime" I imagine.

So when you think your tears aren't screaming loud enough, rest assured that your heart is.
