Love and Sandwiches

Chapter 3 Really

She coughs multiple times and breaths heavily as she continues to push. She starts bleeding alot the baby is delivered and she goes limp. Me and my sister are shoved out the door. The doctor comes out with his head down and tells me our mom died of child birth. The baby grows unhealthy and it dies a few weeks after my mom.

I stifle a cry. I don't even remember going to sleep. Bridget seems to be awake because she's not in the bed. She walks in the room a mess she has milk all over her and cereal in her hair.

I just laugh at her and get her washed up. I take my shower after I clean her. I give her a poptart and tell her to eat it a Mrs. Sammons. As I finish dropping off Bridget, Mrs. Sammons stops me and says,

" If you can't take care of her i'll take her off your hands. "

" Thanks but no thanks I think i can manage. "

I say. She looks disappointed but then gives me a smile as I run to school.

The day seemed to pass by fast. That ended at science. We had to do a project with a partner of Mr. Chazmen's choice.

I was hoping to be with Joslyn one of my Jr.High friends.

" Tammy and Spencer"

" Ricky and Wes "

" Carlos and Gabrielle "

" Brittany and Elexis "

" Joslyn and Kaily "

Well there goes my chances.

" Wendy and Jeff "

" Danielle and Joshua "

Teacher say what! NOOO why Josh the jock. Not him my gosh.

He smiles at me and he strolls over to me and says,

" Don't fall in love with me okay. "

I let out a grumble and roll my eyes.

" Your terrible at rolling your eyes widening your eyes at moving them to the left isn't considered rolling your eyes ya know. "

He says smirking. I want to slap that smirk right off his face.

" So where do you want to do this anywhere is fine but I think my house I have a memory foam bed it will be better. "

I can feel the color go into my cheeks. He laughs at my expression.

" I'm just kidding just text me your address. That would mean you have to give me your number 'ellie."

I shudder at the name 'ellie that's what my parents used to call me before they died.

I was angry now " Don't ever call me 'ellie ever again you got that. " I say pointing a finger at him while I scribble down my number and threw it at him.

" Hey at least you said something to me 'ellie. " He said as he chuckled and walked away.

Josh: So when do I come over?

Me: How about never.

Josh: Haha good one I should use that.

Me: You can't come over I'm at work.

Josh: oh

I work at subway. Its the best I could do. I also steal cookies and give then to Bridget. I put the things on the bread absentmindedly. I check my phone its 4:37 my shift is over at 4:45.

" Hey you can go home if you like its kind of empty today. " My boss Faith says.

"Thanks. "

When I get home with Bridget in my arms I tell Joshua its okay to come over now.

Josh: Great i'll be over soon
