The Bet

Sophia.

I nervously fiddled with the hem of my dress while turning to look at the mirror one more time. I saw a strand of hair was loose and hurriedly pushed it back. Another drop of sweat rolled down the side of my face and I silently cursed and dabbed it with a tissue so it wouldn't ruin the rest of my carefully set face. it did however mix with my mascara which gave me quit a ghoulish look and I swore loudly and did some last minute fixing.

After doing the best I could I stood back and looked at myself.

Not bad.

I was wearing a baby-pink off the shoulder Christian Dior evening down along with a silver necklace which had a heart-shaped pendant outlined with pink diamonds.Draky had bought it for me on our first wedding anniversary. I ran my hands down my dress and then sighed. I walked downstairs and checked everything I'd done for the last time.

When I realized I was just overstressing and I would ruin my makeup again I sat on the couch and turned on the air conditioner while I turned on the T.V.Anything to forget about what I was going to do.

I absentmindedly flipped through the channels and then turned it off. I stood up and walked towards the window gazing out of it searching for any taxi but all it was almost eleven and most of the people were already asleep.

I had got a message from Draky saying the flight had landed and that he would be home in another hour. I nervously tapped my hands waiting for him. Then I finally saw a white cab in the distance and my heart skipped a beat.

Was it....I watched in disappointment as the car trailed by and I sat down on the window side and before I knew it I was dozing off.

RRRRRRR

I was snapped out of my sleep by the sound of a car in our driveway and I mentally slapped myself for going off to sleep. At least I woke up.

I quickly ran towards the switch board and hid myself behind the curtains.

"I'm homeee"

Draky sang while I tried to stifle a giggle, he did this everyday he came back just to see me smile.

The sight of draky always made my heart stop. He looked so perfect like an angel. He was Nicolas Cage who fell in love with a mere mortal, Meg Ryan. No city of love references Sophia CONCENTRATE.

"Pie.." Draky trailed of a confused expression on his face.

I quickly fumbled with the switches and then turned on the DVD player.

All the lights dimmed and slow-romantic music started playing.The projector(which I had borrowed from Andre) was projecting soft light all over the living room.Draky looked around confused running a hand through his hair...

He was soo cutteeeeeee

"Piee....?"

Damn Sophia concentrate and then I stepped into the lights.Drakys jaw dropped as his eyes me mine and I slowly started walking towards him.

Slowly because having the perfect-balance I did I was sure to trip on something and ruin the moment.I walked a little faster when I saw him open his arms and then I tripped on a wire.

Just my luck I groaned and closed my eyes not wanting to witness the fall.

Before I reached the ground though a strong pair of arms caught me and lifted me upwards.I blushed and Draky chuckled.

"Pie,you look beautiful.."

He said his voice low and then he leaned in for a kiss.I almost obliged when I remembered what I had to do. 

"Drake" I said clearing my throat suddenly feeling nervous again.

I looked downwards so as to not show him.

"Sophia"

he said pulling my face towards him his hand resting beneath my chin so I couldn't break eye contact.

"You want to tell me something?" He said his eyes not leaving mine.

"I..uh..how was England?" I squeaked.

Stupid stupid Sophia.

"Who?" he asked quietly

"Umm..Wait what?"

I asked looking confused into his eyes. I almost flinched. His eyes portrayed so much pain and he looked almost dead.....

"Who did you cheat on me with?" He asked barely able to say the words

"Wait. What? Draky. I rather be crucified than cheat on you"

I asked my voice obviously showing shock.

How could he even think that?

its time...

"Drake. I'm....I'm pregnant" I finally said the words. I looked at him to see his reaction.

He was overjoyed. His lifted me up and spun me all over the room shouting with happiness.

"Oh Pie...!" he then danced with me for the rest of the night a smile never leaving his angelic face.
