As Aymar destroy the gate and portal to the realm of darkness. She was able to grab the broke orbs that powered it. Ulam ask Aymar to create charms to open and close the portal when needed. She though it was a great idea to make necklaces for them to be able to go as they please.

King Tyren II agree and began to scout ahead as a shadow had appear within the shadows. Ulam had turned around to that it was his brother-in-law Scar. Scar was taking from his family by the Dark Lord as a child.  Ulam and Scar were like brothers and grew up together as their fathers and fore fathers had fought together.

Aymar had told Scar that he could become a hero to his sister if he joins them in their quest. However Aymar knew that he was being mind control by the Dark Lord. As she cast a spell that knock the Dark Lord power over Scar off. Scar was able to be himself as he seen his childhood friend.

Ulam and Aymar helps Scar up and tells him what happened throughout the past 6 years. He could believe that their clan was almost extinct. But King Tyren II made sure Scar was able to fight and live long enough to make it home with Ulam. Scar told Aymar that he would fight beside them and more if she would employ him to work for her.

Ulam knew that his clan once had gave her a home but also she had promise gold and food. Aymar had always kept her promise to them which gave Ulam his freedom to become a pirate. Ulam and Scar had to find the another demon know as the Silverback named Cryz.

Cryz was mermaid that enslaved mermaids and mermen to the Dark Lord as payment. Scar was looking for his former partner that betrayed him during a run to Evermoor. The Pearl Coast city outside the Imperial Empire of Sheokya. Ulam knew Cryz and began to chase him down while Scar had fought the bodyguard.

Cryz and Ulam had met a few times when Ulam was a captain of the Strasbourg. But Ulam wanted to officially kill Cryz do to betraying his brother and Chieftain. As Cryz began to duel Ulam inside his new hideout Scar had join up with the King and Aymar fought off the darkness.

King Tyren II and Scar had block off the main entrance to the hideout as Aymar destroy the side entrances. Ulam and Cryz only had the back entrance to leave and only one was walking out. Aymar grabs one of the bodyguards while Ulam kicks Cryz into Aymar's bone shield. As Aymar rips Cryz's head from shoulders and his soul. Scar knew he was were he needed to be. Ulam gave Scar the keys to unlock everything lock inside Cryz safe. As the safe opens Scar grabs his belongings and important documents that belong to their clan.
