Not something to be wiped off like cream
Our love was made for movie screens.
And it all started
When I first saw you
The summer of 2016
Standing in the hallway
Heartily laughing ,
And man I did lose a piece of my Heart after that laugh.
And then we talked
The words never stopped.
And you smiled again
Dammit my heart did stop.
Remember how we walked down the hallway ?
Hand in hand
Wandering bout the place mindlessly
With your presence being the best part.
And then I fell
And I fell so deep
And never really stopped
And then you did stop.
You carried yourself up
And you left
Never caring bout
Leaving me all alone in a pit so deep.
And then I realized
I wonder what took so long
Our Love was something that could be wiped out like cream.
Our love was never made for movie screens.
