Metaphor Poem

Your troubles are a colony of bats.
Hanging from thin claws,
just out of reach.
Trickling from the caves of your mind
Streaking across the night sky.
Swooping low to skim the water,
almost blind.
Shrill voices,
calling out to anything that will listen.
Leather wings, bathed in fur.
Asleep at dawn.
