Jace's POV
     I grabbed the bag from thatcher as I slung it over my shoulder before I picked up the MK48 and prepared to fall back should we have to. I saw the outline of a person as I fired into it watching as everything changed to slow motion as time seemed to stop. I shook my head when I heard the first crack clearing the idea from my mind I shifted aim firing into a group of enemies as they attempted to set up an RPG. I yelled "RPG!" As I saw the gunner pull the trigger as he fell launching the rocket into the ground next to him, detonating his bag. I heard Lera over the radio "Wendigo, we've got a plan for exfil. Fall back to the med bay with all units" I heard our flank teams "Rog' moving to med bay" I yelled down the line "Were moving! Head to the medbay! Mozzie lead us out!" He nodded as he stood and started walking to the medbay as the rest of the team started following him. I saw some enemies peak around a corner before I started firing the mk48 into the corner keeping them in cover as I stood before buck grabbed the back of my plate carrier and guided me back and around the corner before releasing me as I stopped firing and spun and we started running to the med bay, when we arrived we saw 4 or 5 masks trying to get into the room as I nodded to Grizzly, Indy and Rabbit as they lifted their rifles and meticulously dropped the masks as they scrambled to get their weapons. I yelled "clear!" As we secured the hallways outside of the med bay as I called over Grizzly and Kraut "Grizzly! Kraut! On me" they jogged over before crouching next to me Kraut spoke first "Sir? What can I do for you?" I looked at the both of them "Did any enemies slip by you at the intersections?" They both shook their head no as Grizzly spoke "I had really light resistance, only a couple squads" I nodded as Kraut spoke "We had some heavy resistance, probably 60 or so" I patted their shoulders "Alright boys, let's get into the med bay" we all stood as I walked to the door and banged on it "Honey! I'm home!" I saw shadows disappearing from the bottom of the door before Finka opened the door, smiling when she saw me before her smile faded as she noticed the Void and Envy weren't with us. I nodded as the rest of the team passed me and entered the room before I helped move everything back into position infront of the door. "This everyone?" I asked as I stared at the sea of men and women who worked on base Lera shook her head "Just the ones we could save, about 130" I sighed "we lost that many?" She nodded before saying "A good amount of base staff are on leave, we got lucky with when they attacked it's pretty much just Soldiers and maintenance guys here" I smiled as I pulled her into a hug and kissed her forehead "Stay safe, I'll be back but I have to talk to Harry" she nodded as a small smile played on her lips before she looked at the squad doing nothing and started giving orders while I started walking towards Harry and the remainder of my DIs. When I got to the table I asked "What're we thinking sir? How are we getting out of here?" He pointed to the airfield "here" I looked at him "We can't do an aerial fall back" he shook his head "Where am I pointing?" I looked again "the vehicle depot, oh I see" he nodded as I spoke "Brilliant idea, but we're running low on ammo and that's a hell of a trek across open ground" he looked at me "that's why I'm sending you and a team of operators to get the humvees" I looked at him "Sir, we can't possibly get everyone out with 12 humvees" he nodded slowly "I'm well aware but what other options do we have?" I mentally went through the list of vehicles we have stored in that depot before it clicked clearly "Duece and a half" everyone looked at me as thatcher spoke "Son, are you okay?" I nodded "The 6x6s, they can carry 16 people plus the two in the front seat, that's 156 people divided by 18... 8.6 so 9, 9 trucks can get everyone out and we have 15 of them" Zofia nodded "that means we can spare 10 people to get the trucks while the rest of us escort everyone to the rally point for extract" I nodded as Harry spoke "Well done, Jace. Alright, Jace pick your team, 10 operators and then come back to me; we'll pick a rally point and your team can get a move on" I nodded with a smile as I looked for Tex, Whitetail, Cobra, Apex, Checkmate, bonus, diamondback, Shade, Ana and Finka, when I had acquired all of them I started explaining what we were doing "we're going to cross a wide open field sticking to the shadows and then we're gonna get in the Duece and a Half's and drive them to the rally point to extract everyone, if you want to sit this one out I understand but step forward now" I saw Shade step forward "I'd like to stay here and help take care of wounded sir" I nodded "Dismissed, Axe! Fall in!" He ran over "Sir?" I looked at him "you're on this mission now if you're willing" he nodded "I'll follow you to the gates of hell sir" I smiled as myself and the 10 operators moved to the table where Harry was standing. When. We arrived he smiled at the team before looking at me "I'd prefer it if you stayed here and helped me organize everything" I looked at the team "Finka, you've got lead" she nodded as I turned to Harry "Let's get this brief under way" he nodded as we turned to the team, he spoke again "You will move through the east hallway to the airfield outside. When you reach the airfield, we'll cut the power causing a black out. You'll need to move quickly before the back up generator comes on, you'll only have a 5 minute window. When you make it across the airfield you'll enter the vehicle depot in hanger 9, you're to secure 8 operable 6x6 trucks and 2 humvees drive them to the west emergency exit of this building, we'll begin pulling security and losing up the workers and wounded soldiers before pulling a convoy and making our escape, keep in mind this is a time sensitive mission." They nodded as I spoke "Pack light, move fast. If you need anything before you go let us know and we will try to find it"  they saluted before moving to get everything they'd bring as Finka walked over "You should use Machine Guns more" I gave her a look "Why's that? I like my shotgun" she chuckled as she replied "You look more badass with a machine gun" I chuckled as she gave me a hug which I returned before giving her a kiss, "come back to me in one piece, we've got more Stevie wonder to sing" she laughed as she went to get ready as I sighed looking at the TacMap that Harry had laid out on the table and the pieces he had placed, certain pets were empty others were loaded with markers. I studied the map as I heard Harry's voice behind me "I see you're studying the map, the markers are for engagements." I nodded slowly "Why are there blank spots?" He looked at me "You didn't send any troops there, I mean they aren't important locations but there were no engagements" I asked "Do we have any reinforcements?" He shook his head no "The airbase in Germany is scrambling A-10s but it'll take a while before they arrive so effectively we're on our own" I sighed before nodding "All mobile operators Fall In!" I watched as they all ran over before standing infront of me "You're all going to secure the west hallway head all the way to the West side emergency exit, we'll hold it until Finka and her squad bring the vehicles and we load up the maintenance crews and everyone who isn't a soldier before we get in and leave clear?" They all saluted "You've got 5 minutes to get ready"
