The Dark Blue Blur

S H A D O W

Since they first entered this new world, hope started to build more and more. So far, Sonic found Tails. Then they found Knuckles. Then Knuckles showed them a glowing green emerald shard. This probably might be a clue to going back home. Things were getting better, but them figuring out how they got here was still unclear. Maybe it wasn't the time to find out.
Speaking of time, the time now was that it started to rain. Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles looked up at the dark clouds letting out light rain. Lucky for Tails, there wasn't any lightning or thunder. But unlucky for them, not only were they feeling cold, but also wet. And the dark clouds were covering the moonlight so it was even darker now. So they needed to find some shelter. If there was any here.
The least they did was go to a forest with big trees so they wouldn't get so wet. Tails shivered a little, and stayed close to his two bigger buddies, trying to gather some warmth. Sonic and Knuckles saw the little guy, and helped him out. Tails smiled slowly, now feeling safe again.
After a few minutes, as the rain kept falling, a big lightning bolt shot out from the clouds, creating some light for the three lost boys. Tails jumped and gasped again as he saw the scary bolt of lightning. They were then headed towards a giant boulder. Once there, lightning struck again, and they saw a big, scary shadow against the boulder. It was tall, skinny, and had things on its back that looked like giant wings.
Tails squeaked and hid behind Sonic and Knuckles. "Wh-Wh-What is that...?!" Tails asked, quivering. "I don't know...," Sonic said. "But I'm gonna go see...." Before he walked up to it, Knuckles stopped him. "I'll go see...," he said. "You know...just in case you don't jump on them liked you jumped on me...." Sonic rolled his eyes. "Fine.... Go ahead.... Be my guest...."
Knuckles shivered, gulped, then pounded his fists as he slowly walked up. Lightning struck again, causing the shadow to reappear in the light. This time, it looked like it was getting closer! As the echidna finally turned a corner, he flinched a bit...but nothing was there.... Knuckles was then confused. He scratched his head slowly and shrugged. But as soon as he turned back to his friends, something hit him!
A black blur came and suddenly hit Knuckles back! Tails screamed, and the two ran to help Knuckles who was pinned to the ground by the mysterious figure. But just then, another figure grabbed Tails, and lifted him up high! Tails screamed and cried for Sonic's help, but Sonic was too freaked out by what was happening. His heart was beating very fast. "SONIC...!!! HELP US...!!!" Tails yelled.
Right at that moment...the figures stopped...and they let the two go. They then walked towards the three scared boys, and stood in front of them. Lightning struck one more time with a hut of loud thunder, and the light revealed a black hedgehog, and a white bat.
"Sonic...?" The black hedgehog asked. "Tails...? Knuckles...?" The white bat asked. "Sh...Shadow...?" Sonic asked. "Rouge...?" Tails and Knuckles asked. They all grouped together, and looked at each other. "So...you got yourselves trapped here too huh...?" Shadow the black hedgehog asked. "Guess so...," Knuckles said. The white bat then looked down at Tails. The little fox was whimpering with fear. She pulled him close slowly, and held him in her arms, placing a small kiss on top of his head. "I'm so sorry Tails...," she said. "Did I scare you...?" Tails looked at her with eyes full of tears, and he hid his face in her chest, shaking more.
After a few minutes, everyone settled down. The guys told Shadow and Rouge about how they got lost and then found each other. They asked them about how or why they got here, but of course, they didn't know either. It wad then Knuckles showed them the emerald shard.
"Ah.... Didn't think I would ever see that again...," Rouge said with a smile. She tried to take it, but Knuckles put it back. "We have to find all of these so that maybe we could get back home...," Knuckles said. "Maybe...?" Shadow asked. "You mean you have no idea...?" "Well no one does...," Sonic said. "This would just be an idea...." Shadow sighed. "Fine...," he said. "We'll come with you...."
The three smiled, and together, they all continued on their journey. But then Rouge had an idea.
"Wait...Knuckles and I are both treasure hunters right...? So how about we find the rest of those emerald pieces alone so that we won't have to stay here for too long...?" Rouge asked. Knuckles looked at her. "I guess that's true...," he said. "But then again...you might take them all to yourself...." Rouge smirked at him. "Would you think this adorable bat would be lying...?~" She asked, seductuvely, slowly leaning into him. Knuckles backed away. "It's fine...let's just do this...," he said. "Good luck you two...," Tails smiled. "You too...," Knuckles said.
As the two ran and flew off one direction, Sonic, Shadow, and Tails walked off the opposite.
