*in the locker room*

Lexi's POV

"Hey, nice practice today Lex, you kicked ass!!"

"Haha, thanks Chlo." I reply to my feisty libero.

"You wanna go grab a coffee and rant about our teammates?" Chloe offers.

"Sure, if you pay." I joke. She laughs and we grab our bags and head to Starbucks.

"That was so fun, Chlo! I'm glad to be getting closer to someone on the team." I say as I give her a hug, goodbye.

"Yeah, I totally agree. You're not as stuck up and bitchy as the other ones." I laugh and thank her.

"Hey, my boyfriends frat is having party for New Years tomorrow night, wanna come?" She continues.

"Sure I'd love to! Can I bring other people?" I ask excitedly.

"As many as you can!" She laughs.

"Ok, thanks again! See you tomorrow, girly!" I say as I walk inside. She blows kisses and I laugh and shut the door.

"LIL!!" I scream before I've even opened the door. I walk into our room to find her watching The Notebook and crying and muttering about how it's so sweet. Joy....

"LILY WE ARE GOING TO A PARTY! HELP ME GET READY!!" I scream at her as I bounce on the bed.

"Ok! Ok!" She says. She picks out a black dress for me. It's a floor length tight dress with a slit up the leg and a fancy back.

As she's fixing my matted hair she says "Harry is really cute..."

"Blasphemy!" I reply. She looks at me, confused.

"He's drop dead gorgeous. He's a god. He's---" I say, dazed. She laughs and continues her work. When she's done I go in the bathroom and brush on a little mascara, eyeliner, and light eyeshadow. When I come out she's wearing a gorgeous black and white dress. It's strapless and knee length with a huge bow over her chest.

"Wow, lil! I'd fuck you." I say as I smile and clap. She laughs and compliments my makeup.

"Why thank you. Sit." I command. She sits and I get to work on her mess of thick, ginger, waves.

We walk in and it falls silent. Everyone gasps in awe of us. Just kidding, I wish. No one pays us much attention.

"Lil---" I start but I realize she isn't beside me.

"LIAM!" I hear as I see Lily run up to a tall brunette guy, who is pretty damn cute, and hugs him. I follow after her, hanging behind them awkwardly as they chat.

I cough. "Oh! Liam, this is Lexi, my best friend/roommate. Lexi, this is Liam, he's in my phsycology class." I laugh and shake his hand. "Hi." I say.

"LEXI!" Chloe screams. I whip around to find her dragging a cute blonde boy behind her.

"This is Niall! Niall, this is Lexi, she's on my team." Chloe introduces.

"Hi Niall" I say. "it's so nice to finally meet you."

"Same to you." He replies. Then he sees Liam.

"Liam!" Niall and Chloe walk over and start to make small talk with Lily and Liam. Zayn and Louis approach me. I give them hugs and then usher Louis off to go say hi to Lily. They're too cute. Zayn and I sit down with the group. I see Louis with his arm around Lily, kissing her cheek repeatedly. I'm so jealous, where's Harry?

I feel an arm slide around my waist and a pair of lips kisses my temple. Speak of the devil... I lean into his side and he kisses my hair. I smile. I'm so happy. I'm starting to really, really, like Harry. That terrifies me. Maybe I should break it off with him before I get too attached...

"EW, stop being all lovey dovey." Lily says, while grinning at us. Harry flinches when she says love but I don't say anything.

"It's not like you and Louis are any better!" I reply with a laugh.

It's my fourth drink.... I should really stop. Naah. This is New Years! I'm with my boyfriend, he'll protect me. So who cares? BOTTOMS UP!

I'm drunk and I know it, and Harry knows it, but neither of us care. Once that clock hits 12:00, he better take me to his room.... I smile at the thought and kiss his cheek. I love his dimples. I poke his cheek and he laughs. There they are.

"I'm gonna get another drink." I slur. "You want one?"

"No thanks, babe. Come right back, it's almost time for the countdown."

"K." I say as I reluctantly wiggle out of his grasp
