Peter sat with the rest of the Avengers, Guardians, and heros, sadly.
"I thought you said you had a way out of here. It's been a week and it's not like there's much to do outside of our dreams," Sam complained to Doctor Strange. The man in question rolled his eyes
"I do, it's not as easy as it seems and my magic is weaker in this realm," he said. The two continued to bicker and Peter just sighed and walked a little further way. He really didn't want to deal with this right now. The soul realm was like an alternate version of the real world. The biggest difference were the empty streets and constant blood red skies. In fact, Peter and the rest of the heros were taking up residence in the compound. Peter's room even looked the same. Still, Sam was right. Shops were deserted, TV's didn't do anything, almost everyone else were still stuck in dream land so there wasn't anyone to talk to. Peter was the youngest person awake.
"Hey, kiddo, everything alright?" Peter turned to see Bucky standing in the door frame of Peter's room.
"Fine. I just didn't want to listen to them argue any longer." he said. Bucky nodded.
"I agree... Can I come in?" he asked. Peter shrugged and Bucky made his way into the room, sitting next to Peter on the bed.
"How have you been doing, though?" he asked. Peter sighed and looked out the window at the dark, empty streets, of the New York imitation.
"I don't know. I miss my family, my friends... I don't really know anyone here and there's not even any sun and my powers don't really work here... I just feel... empty." he said. Bucky frowned and nodded.
"Tell me about Peyton," he said. Bucky had realized very quickly after he decided to take care of Peter while they were stuck in the soul realm that Peter did better and had more hope when he was thinking about his family rather than when he wasn't, he often asked questions about them when Peter was feeling down.
"She and I are really close. She's the only constant in my life, ya know? The only person that has always been there. Everything else just comes and goes and now..." Peter trailed off and put his face in his hands. Maybe this time wasn't the best time to bring up the kid's family then... Peter was confusing at best and Bucky was trying to tread lightly but he slipped up a lot, still, Peter had attached to him and no one else seemed to be as good with the teen as he was.
"I think I'm just going to take a nap." Peter sighed. Bucky frowned.
"I don't know if that's the best idea right now, you've been sleeping a lot lately, Pete," he said. The teenager just shrugged, already moving around and pushing the comforter away.
"Not like there's much else to do," he said. Bucky sighed but didn't argue, he just stood up and walked out of the room.
