Cold windy night

LEAVE THE NEST AND FLY AWAY

I was so excited, I already packed my stuff and I was shaking.
When I came out of my room, my whole family was waiting for me in the living room. They were really sad that I was leaving them, but I was old enough, they knew this is going to happen in the future.

My mother said: " Even though you already told us you're going away when you were 15, I never thought you will actually go away from us."

" Mom, you know that was my dream since I was young and it's time for me to leave the nest and fly away."

" We all know that and we are so happy for you, but also scared. You don't know the area, you could get lost in any street!"

Then every member of my family started to panic. They all told me lots of reasons why I shouldn't go to Norway. Then I stopped them:

" Guys look, everything's going to be just fine, don't worry. I already reserved  my apartment and I am starting with my job in a few days, so you don't have to worry."

They were still scared for me, but I had to go to the airport. So I took my stuff, said goodbye to my family and left.
My friend Sara was already outside. She was so kind to drop me of at the airport. I was able to see sadness in her eyes, but I just ignored it. I didn't want this last moments to be sad so I turned the radio on and started to sing. I didn't even know the lyrics, but it was fun anyway, because Sara started to sing along and we were having a great time. But after some time she turned the radio off:

" I know this is not time for sad moments, but I'm really gonna miss you a lot. And I don't want to forget you so I bought this bracelets for us."

She gave me one. It was like a bracelate we all had when we were kids. Both of them were the same and it was written: "BEST FRIENDS FOR EVER"

I thanked her for the bracelate and then we arrived to the airport.
When we said goodbye to each other, I went inside.
I was sad and scared. Really scared. After some time the plane took off and all I was able to think about was, if I made the right choice...
