Crush
Josuke stared at his long time crush who was with her friends. He couldn't help but pout and sigh, wishing he could just hug the shit out of her. He found her super cute and her personality was just the most adorablest thing ever.
"Ugh can you stop staring at (y/n) for one fucking second?" The rough voice of Okuyasu penetrated the thoughts of the taller boy.
"H-huh?" Josuke asked, clearly startled. "I w-wasn't staring," Josuke stuttered, trying to cover himself, a small blush on his cheeks.
On the other side of the cafeteria sat (y/n), who was conversing with her friends.
"(Y/n), how do you NOT have a crush?" asked (friend 1).
"I don't need to have a crush at all times," She replied, rolling her eyes.
"Have you seen the way Josuke always stares at you?" asked (friend 2).
"Wait what?" (Y/n) asked, her interest peaked. The thought of someone having a crush on her seemed to make her feel all fluttery, plus if it was Josuke, whom she had a crush on, was even better. Yes she did have a crush on Josuke, but she didn't want to tell her friends that just yet.
"Yeah, he totally has a crush on you," (friend 1) chimed in on the gossip. "Look behind you, he's staring right now," they continued, whispering.
(Y/n) looked behind her, trying to seem nonchalant. Her eyes scanned the whole cafeteria and saw crystal blue eyes looking in her general direction, then moving to his friend sitting across from him. Turning back to her friends she rolled her eyes.
"He wasn't looking at me guys, he probably saw something in our direction," (Y/n) tried to reason.
"Yeah, he saw you," (friend 2) scoffed. A small blush coated the young teens cheeks as she heard that. This caught the attention of the other two, huge mischievous grins covering their faces. (Y/n) felt concerned for her own well being.
"Why are you guys smiling like that?" (Y/n) asked with worry.
"Oh no reason."
That is when the chaos began.

(Y/n) went to the park that her friends told her to visit them. They were all planning a hangout today, so she thought nothing of it. She sat on a swing as she rocked herself back and forth slowly. Yet instead of seeing (friend 1) and (friend 2), she saw the one and only Josuke. 'What was he doing here?' the (h/c) haired teen thought, not putting two and two together. Not only was her friends late, but Josuke showed up instead.
"Uh, hey," Josuke's voice rang out to the girl. The park was strangely empty, with only joggers passing by every now and then.
"Oh, hello," (Y/n) replied back shyly, waving slightly. She brought her swing to a stop as Josuke approached her.
"What are you doing here?" Josuke asked awkwardly.
"Well I'm waiting for my friends, but it seems like they are running late," (Y/n) started pausing to check her watch. "...an hour late," She finished with slight hurt sounding in her voice. She couldn't help feel hurt at the possibility of them blowing her off.
"W-well screw them, why don't we hang out," Josuke stuttered out, rubbing the back of his neck, using all of his confidence to say that.
"I guess, I mean it does serve them right, they kinda just left me hanging," She replied accepting his invitation. A bright smile overtook his features, he couldn't believe he wasn't rejected by such an angel.
"How about we go see a movie?" Josuke asked, his diamond like eyes shining. (Y/n) nodded, thanking herself for asking her mother for spending money earlier. So the two young teens walked to the local movie theater in Morioh some small talk like what their favorite animals were.
Once they got there they decided to watch The Blair Witch Project, (y/n)'s idea. She enjoyed horror movies, which seemed to surprise Josuke. He thought girls hated being scared and watching horror movies, yet here was (y/n). Josuke ended up paying for both tickets, even though (y/n) refused many times. Then they got snacks and hurried to the theater.
They sat down and watched the movie trailers. During the whole movie Josuke kept subtly flirting with the short girl, like pulling the yawn stretch over the shoulder. (Y/n) was a blushing mess at the end of the movie. She only jumped at the jumpscares, but then laughed right after, so Josuke had no way to comfort her and hold her closely.
(Y/n) flashed the black haired boy a radiant smile. "I enjoyed this Josuke, we should do this more often," (y/n) said while they walked out of the building.
"How about next time we make it a date," Josuke winked, tearing himself apart in his head for being cringe.
(Y/n) could feel her face warm up as she looked at Josuke, her innocence in romance showing through her. "Uh, yeah. Of course, count me in," She replied, a giddy feeling filling her.
"How about tomorrow then, we can go to the pier!" Josuke exclaimed, grabbing both of the small girls hands in his bigger ones. A giggle escaped her lips, seemingly entrancing the boy. She nodded smiling brightly, confirming the date. "Great! I'll pick you up tomorrow at 11 am, is that alright?" He asked.
"Of course! See you tomorrow," (Y/n) waved leaving in the direction of her house. Josuke just stared on, a love struck gaze held in his eyes. He was gonna make the next day the best ever for (y/n).
