i came home afterwards. my mom was still gone. i called her many times but her phone was dead. i just sat on the couch and waited. i was getting anxious until i heard her keys jingle.
mom: didn't mean to startle you hun. i had to work extra hours at the hospital. i should've told you but i ran out of here.
maya: it's okay. i just got a little worried thats all.
she kisses my forehead to comfort me. my stomach started to growl, loudly. my mom knows that i didn't eat. but i had acted as if she was born the day before. she cooked me my favorite food and i couldn't resist.
mom: baby you have to eat. please don't starve yourself.
maya: i was just having a bad day thats all
mom: u can talk to me, always
she made me feel a lot better. i still couldn't tell her stuff. she wasn't ready to hear what i think and my days are like. my phone constantly kept buzzing.
mom: looks like someone's popular
maya: no, people keep saying their sorry for my loss every single hour of the day like i get it and its the same people
she picked up my phone which was odd. she never looked through my things.
mom: destiny marie hm.. whos that?
maya: oh thats my friend, let me see
she handed me the phone. she didnt invade my privacy, she just want to know the buzz was about.
maya: is there anyway i can go to the movies with destiny and her friends?
mom: when?
maya: tonight
mom: you should've told me earlier, i'm sorry but you can't go on such late notice
maya: it's ok i understand
i texted destiny that i couldn't go and showed my mom. but as soon as she went to her room i texted destiny that i would be sneaking out.
