Tick Tock, silly clock
Half past nine, I guess you’re stuck.
Tick Tock, funny clock
I’m wide awake, please don’t mock.
Every second counts a beat
Every click, I lower my sheet.
I want to end this sleepless night,
I want to end this lonely flight.
Staring at the gray ceiling
I find each memory quite appealing.
Knowing that it all happened fast,
I wish I could rewind the past.
Closing my eyes, I see nothing
Of what is there, of what is happening.
Shadows come and go,
I don’t want to see them, I don’t want them to show.
So Tick Tock, silly clock
Half past twelve, I thought you’re stuck.
Tick Tock, funny clock
In my thinking, you always mock.
