Chapter 10 - The Disappearance

NATASHA POV...
CAMP-HALF BLOOD...

These kids aren't doing so great. They haven't gotten the training they need to be able to win this war. They don't have what it takes. Not yet at least.

We're doing all that we can to help train them but they just won't listen. They're either too prideful to accept our help or too focused on the fact that Percy is back to save them again.

And Percy...? Well he's not doing to well either. We can all see that being back in this place is talking a huge toll on him. Well it's taking a huge toll on all the betrayed demigods in our family but Percy is the one who is being hit the most. Percy found love here, his first true friend was from this place, and he sacrificed so much for this place. Only for it to be thrown right back in his face when they kicked him out.

"Natasha!?"

"I'm here! What do u need Clint?"

"Nothin', just the lunch horn sounded a couple minutes ago but you never made your way over..."

Oh. "Here I come. I was just thinking about some stuff."

"Must've been some really heavy stuff for it to be able to keep you away from your precious food." Clint Jokes.

"Shut up bird brain."

POSEIDON CABIN...
PERCY POV...

I cant do this. I know I have to. I should. I want to. But I don't. This is all too much for me. They betrayed me and now I'm helping them? What kind of messed up thing is this. Its not fair!

"I know its not fair. And you don't have to if you don't want to."

"Whose there?! Where did you come from?"

"Calm down Percy. Its just me. I'm behind you or did you forget you could've turned around."

"Loki, of course it's you again. Just what I needed right now."

"I know. We're meant to be Percy."

"Cut it out. What do you want Loki? If you haven't noticed I'm kinda busy."

"Busy doing what? Rethinking your life choices? Lucky for you in here to help."

"Well I dont need your help Loki. And I would appreciate if you would just leave."

"There will come a time Perseus. You will need my help and when I'm not there for you, you will regret pushing me away. All I've ever wanted was for us to be together and I know you want that too. All you have to do is leave these wretched people who don't even care for you!"

I stumble back as he yells this in my face after coming close to me. I wasn't expecting him to say what's been on the back of my mind since I've arrived here. I've been fighting against it but someone else saying it out loud is just making it harder.

"They- They do care for me! You're lying!"

"Who are you trying to convince percy? Me or yourself?"

I can't do this anymore. I want to scream! I want to cry! When will this end?!

However, before I can express this to my former boyfriend, Clint comes barging in.

"Perce! Are you okay? Who are you-... Loki!"

Clint draws his bow out of nowhere aiming it at Loki. I don't stop him though. It needs to be done. If I didn't have this connection to Loki I would've done the same thing. I don't actually think Clint will capture Loki because of his magic so I'm not surprised when he puts his hands up and disappears.

What I don't expect is for me to start disappearing along with him.

CLINT POV...

Shit.

I run out the cabin towards the quinjet to assemble the Avengers to start making our game plan. I dont think we would want the whole camp to know that the only reason we have a chance of winning is gone.

"Percy was taken." I say when Tony finally boards the jet.

"What?" Tony yells. He looks down and mumbles something about a kid but I don't address it right now.

"By who?" Natasha asks.

"It was Loki. I heard Percy yelling something when I was headed to being him to dinner. It turns out he was yelling at Loki but when I went in Loki started disappearing and next thing I knew, Percy was gone too."

"Are you sure he didn't just vapor travel to get away from having to talk about it?" Natasha asks.

"Yes I'm sure. I know what it looks like when Loki takes something with him when he teleports."

"Well, it looks like we have some work to do."

Heyyy. I know it's been a long time since my last update and I'm sure you're disappointed with this short chapter. I apologize for this and I'm sure you dont want to hear any of my excuses. Again, I apologize and I appreciate all of those who tell me they want me to continue this story. It was actually what gave me the motivation to finish this chapter. Thank you. 💜
