A/N: Namjoon's fiancee's name is left purposefully blank. She is the same Y/N as in The Rich Man's Crochet Club, so her name is indicated as ______.Miami International Airport is one of Jungkook's favorite places in the world.
Not for the reasons one might think – it has nothing to do with the euphoric faces of families reuniting, nor is it because American Airlines recently re-did their Admirals club lounge and now, it has outlets everywhere. Not even because the Calle Ocho staple, Versailles, sells the best fucking colada in Terminal 2. Simply the thought of the drink makes Jungkook's hand twitch.
No, Miami International Airport is one of Jungkook's favorite places because entering it means he's leaving Miami.
Not that his current situation is horrible. Actually, there's a lot about Miami Jungkook loves – the aforementioned colada being one of them. The four years he's lived here time has passed in a blur of work, partying and laying out on the beach. Still, none of it salvages the fact that Jungkook despises his job, misses his friends and if he is forced to listen to one more monotonous club beat, he might truly snap.
Stifling a yawn, Jungkook adjusts his sunglasses as he enters the terminal. A duffle bag is slung over his shoulder, garment bag draped over the other. As minimalistic as Jungkook is when he travels, Namjoon would never forgive him if his suit became wrinkled.
This is where Jungkook is headed, of course – Kim Namjoon, founding member of the Rich Man's Crochet Club, is finally getting married. It has been nearly five years since he got with his fiancée, all under the direct influence of their mismatched set of friends.
The Rich Man's Crochet Club is a bit of a long story. Many years prior, when they all were college freshman, drinking in Taehyung's dorm, Jungkook and his friends realized they were all virgins. This was obviously a bonding moment, yet they could not bring themselves to title the group chat 'The Virgin Club.' As Jungkook so astutely put it, this would likely ensure they remained so.
Instead, Taehyung suggested the title of one of his mother's romance books and voilà! The Rich Man's Crochet Club was born.
Fast-forward eight years and while none of them are virgins any longer, the title of the group chat remains. Jungkook imagines it always will.
His phone vibrates in his pocket. Pulling this out, Jungkook lowers his sunglasses and slides a thumb over the screen.
Seokjin: we all know what today is, right [5:15 PM]
A reply comes almost immediately from Hoseok.
Hoseok: Wednesday [5:15 PM]
Seokjin: yes, thank you Hoseok [5:15 PM]
Seokjin: Somehow, I made it through this entire day not knowing what day of the week it is. Then, upon realizing this oversight, I thought to course-correct by opening this group chat and texting my friends, instead of looking at – say – a calendar [5:16 PM]
Hoseok: I'm not here to judge man [5:16 PM]
Jimin: what's today, Seokjin? [5:16 PM]
Seokjin: thank you, Jimin [5:16 PM]
Seokjin: today is the day – drumroll please – the RMCC is finally reunited [5:16 PM]
Namjoon: we literally live together Jin [5:17 PM]
Taehyung: why say drumroll please if you didn't give us the opportunity to drumroll? [5:17 PM]
Seokjin: 1) yes, I am aware, Namjoon. But the rest of us have not been together in a while and 2) Taehyung shhhhh [5:17 PM]
