It was the 23rd of October. A boring, tedious, unimportant day if you asked anyone else, but I'm not everyone else. I'm Lee Taeyong, and this is my story, but today wasn't the day it began, it all started 3 months ago when I met him, Nakamoto Yuta. When I utterly (and quite stupidly) fell in love with him. This is also a story about how I found out I had a stalker. So, sit back, get a snack, and relax. I'm going to tell you, all this and more, but more importantly how my life turned upside down.

*Flashback to 3 months ago*

Taeyong was in class and he was answering a question when suddenly, somewhere from the back, someone shouted, "Teacher's pet! " Everyone started laughing. Taeyong was so used to it, he giggled along too, but inside he was embarrassed. He hated all of his classmates.

Taeyong had moved to this school last year. He corrected the teacher once, about physics and he was a nerd. His classmates said he was weird because he knew more than the math teacher did. He was a freak because he asked the principal how his day was in the hallway. But most of all he was untouchable because he talked to the janitor. Taeyong just wanted to know how all his teachers were. He wanted to make sure everyone was okay. He was caring, nice and thoughtful, but to his classmates he was a nerdy, weird, and untouchable freak. It drove Taeyong mad.

Taeyong cried almost every day, for the first 2 months when he came to the realization that no one was going to be his friend. He tried; he really did. He was nice, he tried to tell jokes, he even tried to rebel and that didn't work, no one would talk to him. His classmates were more occupied with making fun of him, to his face. They did not even try to hide it. The teachers saw it and gave almost everyone a detention. So now, that was Taeyong's life. He was friendless and the teachers protected him, earning himself the nickname 'Teacher's pet'.

At first, Taeyong would completely shut down and blush. The teacher that would be teaching would ultimately rip out a detention slip, sign it silently and the said kid would shamelessly walk up to the front of the class and grab it. Since Taeyong sat in the front, when the said kid turned around, he was victim to all kinds of dirty looks. Taeyong wanted it to stop, so one day when he had corrected his science teacher, he said with a straight face.

"Mrs. Yun, you're supposed to be a science teacher, but you can't even solve a simple math equation, shaking my head, how does it feel to be corrected by your student, the teacher's pet?"

Everyone was silent for a little bit, until Taeyong giggled. The rest of the class laughed, too. It was the first time in 2 months that anyone had even tried to laugh at his jokes. Since then, students still called him teacher's pet, but the tone was different, like it was his actual nickname instead of some label stuck on him because he was different. The teachers stopped giving out detention slips, and some kids even started to talk to him.

Taeyong was more than happy. So now when anyone called him 'Teachers pet' he knew it was a joke and the other kids did too, so they would laugh but in a different way. They didn't even call him that that often. They called him 'Tae' or 'TY'.

Taeyong actually had friends, if you asked anyone now, they would say Taeyong was pretty popular. Everyone knew about Taeyong. They said that by him using the nickname that was supposed to be derogatory, it showed his ability to take a joke, that he was actually funny and that he was chill because he didn't hold a grudge. Taeyong didn't. He was good friends even with Johnny and Lucas, they were the worst. They poured water, food and even paint on him. They destroyed his desk, locker, and work. They would take his clothes during gym and throw them in the trash.

Taeyong always had to hide a second pair of clothes in the principal's or in the coach's office. Now, he didn't have to. Taeyong had friends. They thought he was funny and amazing. He was smart, no lie, but that made him even more amazing. Kids would gush about how Taeyong shut down a teacher with facts or corrected some of the rudest subs. Taeyong was living the life. Kids protected him when new kids tried to make fun of his nerdy ways.
