Previously from the last chapter

"Oh yeah I'm fine.." I respond.

" I sure hope so cuz you're phone is going crazy and-" John gets cut off by a notification sound. I pick it up and see many texts and missed calls from my girlfriend.

"Oh shit..I better call her..." I told John. He nods and leaves the room.

I call my girlfriend and she picks up..

"Hey Maria!!" (Hee hee)

"Oh my fucking god, Alex how long does it take for you to pick up your god damn phone?!?" Maria yelled at me through the phone. (Yes Maria is toxic in this story....sorry not sorry about what I said...hehe)

"I'm sorry.." I reply.

"Are you cheating on me with someone?? Is that why you're taking so long to answer??!!" Maria screams at me.

"No! I would never-" I get cut off

"YOU'RE LYING! YOU LYING CHEATING FUCK!" Maria yells at me and I keep quiet. This went on for a full minute.

"Ugh whatever...cancel our date tonight now" Maria demanded.

"Wh-what?? Why?" I asked in shock.

"WHY DO I NEED A REASON?! JUST FUCKING DO IT AND STOP WASTING MY TIME!!" Maria complained to me.

"but I got us reservations for a nice, expensive French restaurant.." I said quietly.

"Ew! I fucking hate French!! You should know that! You're so fucking useless...you're to blame for everything wrong in our relationship!!" Maria yelled at me and hung up.

I sigh in frustration, flinging my phone across the room. With those words she told me, repeating itself in my head. Maybe it's true...

"Alex..are you okay" A voice comes through the door.

"...no..." I respond quietly, tears filling up my eyes.

The door opens and someone stands in front of me...it was John.

He suddenly hugs me and I hug him back.

"You know you're too good for her right?" John says as he looks at me, still holding me in his arms.

I look away in self-doubt.

"Wait, were you listening through the door?" I ask

".....no..." John says quietly. I knew he was lying and I chuckle.

"Why are you still with her? She's- She's a horrible person!!" John continues as he lets go of me and sits on the bed.

"You do realise, she's a toxic person right?" John asked me, looking deep into my eyes.

"y-yeah.." I respond with tears in my eyes.

"She gaslights you and it's not right. Alex you've got to break up with her" John says making sure that I'm listening.

"N-no I can't..I mean, she was just annoyed that I didn't pick up the phone" I told John, trying to dismiss the idea of breaking up.

"She's a bitch!" John yells and flares his hand in the air. I flinch.

"Oh I'm sorry...I shouldn't have yelled.." John says calmly.

We sat in silence until I broke the silence.

"I uh..have to go cancel my reservations.." I say quietly.

"Wait! I'm not doing anything tonight..how about we go together so we don't waste a good reservation?" John asks..

My face lit up. "Okay!" I smile brightly.

I hug him and started to get ready for my day.

Yeah I'm done with this chapter.. sorry it's a little short..
