I arrived at school the next day regretting even going; I had to visit the doctors yesterday and they said I needed crutches so I don't strain my foot even further. I got out of my SUV and pulled out my crutches, I swing my book bag over my shoulders almost losing my balance and crutched all the way to the entrance of the school building. I had my hair in a long braid and I wore my glasses since I was too lazy to wear my contacts.

As I entered the school doors with my crutches, I headed towards my locker to get my English textbook and laptop. I put in the combination of my lock and opened it. I forgot to wear makeup today and luckily I had some mascara in my locker. I started applying some on my lashes when I heard footsteps near me.

"Oh look it's the dumbass that fell in the library." I heard a girl voice say.

I turned around to see a girl with way too much makeup on, short brown hair, and a way too short of dress.

And right there locking arms with her was Ashton.

"I don't know you." I mumble into my locker, stuffing books into my arms.

She starts laughing, "Yeah, well I have a boyfriend that knows you. He told me all about how you purposely spilled coffee on him." She smirks. "Why'd you do it huh? To make an excuse to talk to him? Well here's some news freak, he won't ever want to talk to you."

I look at Ashton to see him smirking like he had accomplished something, I look away. "I didn't do it on purpose." I choke out.

"Sure." She says sarcastically,

"I didn't." I turn towards her. Now I was mad. "And that dick of a boyfriend you have? He doesn't know me, And I don't know him. So can't you do me a favor and fuck off?" I glare at both of them.

They both stare back in shock, probably because they weren't expecting that kind of reaction from me, the shy freak. I shake my head and headed towards the other direction not wanting anything to do with them anymore. I heard the girl yell some profanity that hurt a little bit but I didn't really care.

"C'mon Kimberly." Ashton snorted. "She's a waste of time."

So her name is Kimberly.

The school bell ending the school day rung and I stuffed my art sketchbook in my book bag since I had art last block. I wobbled to get my crutches and headed out the door.

I crutched down the hall trying to balance myself, I'm not really used to these yet. I checked my phone to see what time it was since I work in a coffee shop and I always have to work right after school. 3:55 it read; good I have enough time to read the rest of my novel. I smiled to myself and removed some hairs from my face when my phone started ringing.

"Oh, hey mom." I said, putting the phone between my shoulder and ear.

"Hey sweetie could you do me a favor?" She asked.

"Sure, what's up?" I smile, loving to hear the sound of her voice after a long school day.

"Could you pick up my medicine from the drugstore on your way home from work? Sorry that I can't do it myself." She chuckles. "Threw up everywhere this morning, doctor told me to stay in bed all day."

"Of course momma." I said.

"Thank you sweetie! I'll make you your favorite soup tonight since it's a bit chilly." She makes a fake "brr" sound which makes a giggle come out of me.

"You're we-"

Someone grabs my arm and slams me to the wall, I didn't know who it was or what it was but it made me drop my phone and scream. My back hits the solid wall knocking the air out of me and I look up to see that same hazel-eyed boy who I stood up to earlier today.
