Toni's POV
"So, Cheryl, I have a very important question to ask you." I said as we sat in a booth at Pop's. Her ears pricked up and she sat upright, blinking through her glasses. "What's that, Tee-Tee?" She asked. I took her hand and looked right through the frames into her amazing eyes. "Cheryl, will you be my date to prom?" She blushed an amazing shade of red and nodded. "O-of course, I would love to." She smiled and I leaned forwards to kiss her. As I did so, I felt two pairs of eyes follow me from behind. Josie and Delaney were watching from the counter, clearly not impressed.
"Hey, I guess that freak got a date after all." Delaney whisper-shouted. "Say that again?" I stood up angrily. "No, don't." Cheryl tugged at my arm. I ignored her. "Because the only freak I can see here is you, Delaney. You just prey on other girls who you don't think are as pretty or popular as you. But let me tell you, Cheryl is beautiful, and she's a million times better than you will ever be, braver and stronger, smarter and wiser, and so you will never insult her, ever again. Not like that, not here, or at school, or anywhere. Because if you hurt her even just a little bit, I will end you." She didn't respond, and Josie started to turn red with embarrassment.
"Come on, Cher, we've got dresses to buy." I pulled Cheryl out of the diner and onto my motorbike. I drove her to Sweetwater River where we'd had one of our first dates and she smiled as I took off her helmet. "I thought we were getting prom dresses?" She asked innocently and I laughed. "Cher, we've got ages. I just wanted a bit of alone time." She grinned and snuggled against my chest as we watched the water flow and the sun started to set over the hills of Greendale.
She started to shiver so I handed her my Serpent jacket and draped it over her shoulders. "Babe, that jacket looks hot on you." I said and she giggled. "Really?" "Yeah, really." I gently removed her glasses and kissed her sweet lips, my hands slowly working up her leg. "Toni, as much as I love you, can we do this inside?" She asked and I laughed. "Wherever you want, as long as I'm with you." I replied.
Cheryl's POV
I woke up in Toni's trailer, my head resting on her arm with her legs draped over mine. She was so naturally beautiful, even asleep, and I resisted the urge to wake her up. Instead, I slipped out of bed and headed to the kitchen to start on breakfast. I was just flipping pancakes when she stumbled in wearing just her overlarge t shirt. "Babe, if you're going to keep on cooking, imma need a bigger dress." She laughed. "Nonsense, you're body is amazing, as are you. Now come eat, we've got a lot of shopping to do, and Hermione's lending us her card so no holding back."
After we'd eaten and changed, I drove Toni and I to the mall in a Greendale, which is much bigger than the one in our town. First stop, we went to try on dresses and I fell in love with a beautiful long red dress. I tried it on and immediately it felt perfect. "Oh my god." Toni said and her jaw dropped as I walked out of the fitting room. "It's amazing, you should totally get it." She said.
And then it was her turn. She chose a shorter black and purple dress which hugged her figure perfectly. She twirled happily in front of the mirrors. "You look so gorgeous in that dress. And hot." I added with a wink. "We'll take both." I said to the assistant who took the dresses from us. "Of course, ladies. And would you be looking for matching bags? We have a collection made just for this label." "Yes please, that would be amazing." Toni looked sceptical but as the assistant brought out the bags, she was drawn to a small black leather bag and I picked a red glittery sequinned bag. "These go perfectly." She commented and I added them to the pile. "Oh, we need shoes!" I squealed excitedly and dragged her to the shoe section. "I need super heels, I'm tiny." She pouted with her lower lip sticking out as I looked for heels. "How about these?" I held up a pair of black heels with open toes and straps that went round her ankles. She chose a pair of red heels for me and they fit snuggly. "How did you know what size my feet are?" I asked curiously. "I just knew." She shrugged as we headed back to pay for everything. "I can't wait for prom night." I grinned as we drove back. "Me either babe. It's gonna be amazing."
