Captain Kaizo x Ireen - one shot

A/N: This story is before Ireen and Kaizo get together..

It was white.

So white.

No planet she ever visited had this serene, pure and pristine look.

Wherever she walked, she will always be mesmerized by the beauty of the white flocks descended from the sky. She didn't know if it is a bless to receive a mission on a planet with a winter season, or a cursed because it is freaking cold and she needed to wear triple layer of clothes just to keep warm.

But she ain't complaining.

Because this is the first time in her life to ever be in cold and winter planet.

Ireen buried her hands deeper into pockets, shivered lightly as she breathed out faint white smoke. She is currently heading back to one of the Tempur-A's spaceship. She, along with Kaizo and Fang were ordered to help Ramenman and his squad in their mission. And that said mission was done, and they are currently lounging around to join the festival.

"Hachoo!" She wiped her nose with her sleeve gently. Scrunching it up a bit, she tried to shook off the itchy feelings and snorted in harder to unblock her nasal.

"Sick?" A rough yet velvety voice could be heard.

She turned, only to be greeted with a pair of sharp crimson eyes. Like a wolf lurking in the snow hunting for food.

"No. Just a sneeze, captain." She waved her hand as a gesture of 'don't worry'.

Kaizo walked closer. Half of his face is covered with a navy blue scarf, and most of his head is covered with a thick billed-hat with ear flaps in pure black. If one never knew him, they will be scared of his scary and dangerously glinted crimson eyes and mistaken him as a devil.

"Where are you going?" He too, breathed out faint white smoke. Wind blew lightly and Ireen pulled her hair sideways.

"Nowhere captain. Just taking a stroll. The pantry was packed with the squad and I get bored playing cards with them. Thought might use this time to enjoy the season",  she spoke between clattering teeth. The wind got stronger and shiver ran up her spine.

Kaizo chuckled while towering above her petite figure. As the female is busy gathering her hair to one side, Kaizo took the opportunity to wrap his scarf around her neck. Gently, he brought the scarf around her neck twice before tying it into a loose knot at the end.

"Ca-captain? What are you doing? You will be cold!"

"No I won't. I am pretty warm, in fact. You should worry bout yourself more. What kinda idiot will go out in this winter without scarf or muffler? Or even a beanie?" He scoffed.

Ireen fell silent.

"And idiot that belongs to the legendary space rebel's team..?" She grinned lightly.

Squinting his eyes, he is about to reprimand her for the consequences of doing things unprepared, but the female got hyped over something that she immediately leaved his side.

"Captain look! Look!!!" Her eyes sparkled in excitement as she stepped forward carefully. She squatted down, hand slowly reaching forward as she threw cooing words.

With one of them allowing her to touch, she proudly took one into her embrace as she twirled and hugged.

"Snow hare. It isn't uncommon to find one in this planet and season. But they are usually not fond of humans touch. Or alien touch..." He mumbled lightly the last part. "You are lucky he didn't bite you",  he continued talking.
