The brunette girl handed over the snapped pair of glasses. "If I had my tape I'd fix them," she apologized, "But.."

"No, it's fine." the blue-haired girl sighed, "I'll just not see."

"I still can't believe this happened," the blonde growled, trying desperately to tie her hairband back together to put her hair up, "A war. A real war in England! During a field trip! What're the chances?! We get evacuated, our plane crashes, we survive, Dillen's dead! And Jesus and Mac and--!"

"Breaths," the black haired girl put her hand up, "Take some, Lily."

"Is there anyone else on this island?" the blue-haired one looked around.

"No," Lily shook her head, "Annalise, they're all dead. All of them. Everyone."

"They might just be scattered around," the black haired one played with burned holes in her sweatshirt, "That's a possibility. Let's just walk around a bit and see if we can find something or someone to help us."

Lily opened her mouth to refuse, but a loud trumpet-like sound cut her off.

"What was that?" Annalise asked quickly.

"Let's follow it," the black haired stood, "That means there's people."

"Let's follow Lizzy," the brunette agreed, "That's a good idea."

Lizzy glanced back at the group, "I don't know what I'm doing either, but let's all pretend that I do."

"We all pretend you and Lily know what's going on," Annalise smiled.

Ten minutes of navigating drew them to a group of boys by the water, sitting around a taller boy with a conch shell. He was blond, and a smaller boy with wispy hair was running around talking to the other boys, seemingly getting names. The boys around seemed to be in the same age range as the girls, fifteen at the oldest and eight at the youngest.

"Oh good," Annalise sighed happily, "People."

"Boys," the brunette sighed in a much more downbeat manner.

"Where's the man with the trumpet?" a new voice intruded. A group of figures had emerged from the jungle, dressed in black robes and hats, their skin almost purple from the heat. The one who had spoken had red hair and a gold badge on his hat.

"There's no man with a trumpet," the tall blond boy said, "Only me."

The redheaded boy walked closer, looking down his nose at the blond boy. After a moment, he turned away. "Isn't there a ship then?"

"We just crashed," Lizzy said, making both the boys jump and turn to her, "Why would there be a ship?"

"Who're you?" the blond demanded.

"Lizzy," she said curtly.

"And the rest of you?"

"Not telling you without knowing you first," Lily said, crossing her arms over her tattered shirt.

"I'm Ralph," he spat, "Now tell me who you are."

"Rude much?" The brunette muttered.

"My name is Lily," she straightened to her full height, which was a little bigger than Ralph, "And these two are Annalise and Ashley."

"Rotten names, if you ask me," Ralph said, adjusting his grip on the conch shell.

"But we didn't ask you," Lizzy responded.

"Don't listen to him," Annalise grumbled, "Seems like a prick."

Lily looked to the redhead boy, "And you?"
