THURSDAY-MARCH 4-

All the kids wake up, the bros take Lilly to school. Normal routine by now. Lilly comes home from school, and they have dinner. At the dinner table, Lilly's parents say that they got her report card back, because it was spring break. They start getting mad at her and yelling at her, with her brothers watching in silence.

"Lilly, we got your report card back, and we are very disappointed in your grades. You told us you would've had your grades up by now." Dad says, almost calmly, but there was anger in his voice.

"I'm not disappointed, I'm angry!" Mom says. "You should've had your grades up by now! You have no excuses! Your brothers wouldn't have had this issue now would they! They had good grades in the first place!"

"But I-" Lilly starts.

"No buts! You have zero excuses! You're grounded until further notice. No devices until your grades go up. Is that clear?" Mom says sternly.

"But it's spring break! I can't get my grades up anyways!" Lilly says, defending herself.

"IS THAT CLEAR!" Mom yells. Lilly nods and looks down. The boys started clearing the table and Lilly runs to her room. Jack walks in and sits beside Lilly up in her bed, closing the door behind him. Lilly had her knees up in her chest and was clearly crying.

"Hey Lil." Jack says softly, climbing up and sitting beside her. He starts rubbing her back. Lilly turns to Jack and lays her head on his shoulder.

"I'm sorry about them. You're not grounded, that's the brother decision. And brothers overrule parents, right?" Lilly nods, wiping the tears off of her face. "Are you ok Lil? I mean, apart from what just happened?" Lilly nods.

"I-I guess."

"I'm sorry about them." Jack says.

"I-It's fine. I'm used to it at this point."

"Lil, that shouldn't be how it is."

"I know. But I can't stop it, or they'll yell at me."

"Yeah. I'm sorry Lil. We'll talk to them and make them stop, ok?" Lilly nods.

"It just sucks that they keep yelling at me."

"Yeah. I get it. How many times did they yell at you when we weren't here?" Jack asks.

"A lot. I stopped counting after 17."

"Lilly! 17 times? We were only gone for three weeks! That's like once a day!"

"Yep. But most of the time they would yell at me more then once a day."

"I'm so sorry Lilly. We'll get them to stop. I promise, ok?" Lilly nods and they hear a knock at the door. It was Ryan.

"How's it going in here?" He asks, knowing Jack went in earlier to console Lilly. Jack nods, and Ryan comes up and sits down on the other side of Lilly. Lilly lays down on Ryan's lap, and Ryan runs his fingers through her hair. Then Lilly says,

"Wanna know how come I was making so much music while you were gone? It's because I couldn't play on my phone, because I was grounded the entire time, and I couldn't understand my homework, so I didn't do it."

"Then how did you text us?" Ryan asks.

"I uh, stole my phone back when they weren't home just so I could talk to you guys. I missed you guys a lot."

"I'm sorry Lil. I'm glad you stole your phone back though." Jack says.

Lilly eventually falls asleep on Ryan's lap, and Jack explains what he and Lilly talked about.

"She said they yelled at her over 17 times while we were gone. I had no idea it was that bad."

"17 times!" Ryan says. "That's way too many. They already went to bed, so let's talk to them in the morning, without Lilly. "

"Yes, definitely. Wanna sleep in here tonight Ry?"

"Yeah sure my stuff's already here."

"Go ask Adam."

"Ok." Adam and Ryan come back in and sleep in their usual spots and they all fall asleep.
