THIRTY EIGHT

"What will we be doing today, Endeavor?" Todoroki asked Endeavor as I sipped a cup of coffee.

We were currently in our hero suits and were standing in the lobby of Endeavor's hero agency.

"We'll be patrolling all day. You'll also get to experience a night patrol as part of your internship experience."

"I see. When will we be off?"

"When your friend finishes her coffee." The stupid flaming trash can grunted and crossed his arms.

I rolled my eyes and finished my coffee and we left to go on patrol.

"Sasha." Todoroki said quietly as we walked. "Have you heard about the hero killer?"

I shrugged as though to tell him I barely knew anything.

"I heard that Iida's brother, Ingenium, was one of the victims. He's alive unlike the others, but who knows what hero will be targeted next?"

So the hero killer left Ingenium alive on purpose, I guess. Probably to send a message or something to create fear amongst everyone.

"Shoto, I'd appreciate it if you kept the talk of Stain to a minimum while we're in public. Don't create more panic."

Todoroki rolled his eyes as we continued walking around.

An ambulance sped past us with two more following, along with a winged hero.

"Wonder what happened." Someone said as we walked by them.

"What if another hero was killed?!"

"There are three ambulances. At least two people are dead." Someone responded.

"Ignore them." Endeavor spoke as we walked away.

"Where will we be patrolling for our first night patrol?" Todoroki asked.

"Hosu."

"Sasha, are you ready to go?" The bicoloured male asked and I nodded.

Why do I feel like things are going to go horribly wrong?

I don't have a good feeling about tonight..

After walking for a while, Endeavor decided that we would check out a nearby agency to get some information about Stain.

Oh! It's that hero again! What was her name... Sandstorm? I dunno.

"You look familiar." Endeavor said to the hero. "Any information on Stain?"

"You can't just walk in here asking for information like that. This isn't your agency, Endeavor. Now ask politely and I might give you the information you're asking for."

"Do you have any information as to who Hero Killer Stain's latest victims were?" Endeavor asked, nearly growling in annoyance.

"As a matter of fact, I do. Now sit down, please."

I wonder how many victims there were...

"I only know that there were two heroes and one intern attacked. One of the heroes died and one is in critical condition, along with the student intern. I don't know which heroes they were. All I can say is that the deceased hero had a family. Wife. Kids. Seemed like a doting father from what I heard. Now, shouldn't you continue patrolling the area? I know you're busy with that."
