Elizabeth's POV

I could feel my heart beating like crazy. What if I  left any clue behind? But then again, I only have to hope for the best, and continue to run.

Speaking of which, I guess my powers are almost ready to use right now. I still can't teleport, but maybe, I can do something else.

Maybe, I can open a portal somewhere in DC and go through it. Again, it would take most of my energy, and created a bright light which might or might not drag the attention of the agents who are currently in my house.

I took a deep breath and started to concentrate.

Come on now, don't let me down!

A bright blue light flickered from my hand and opened a portal in the dark alleyway. The other side was dark; of course it was supposed to be, the plan is to appear somewhere in a dark alleyalley in Washington, not in the main road. But now I don't know if I have opened the portal in the right place.....

Whatever. I just wanna get out of here.

I stepped on the other part of the portal, and closed it immediately. I felt so exhausted. Man, this is probably the most eventful day of my life.

I will need to lay low for a few days after this, not just to carefully discuss my next move with Dante, but also because I need to hide from both Bille Gordon and S.H.I.E.L.D. Speaking of which, I still don't know what Gordon wants from me; but I am pretty sure that my dearest foster parents have gotten me in huge trouble this time.

I should have cut ties with them long ago, I thought as I walked in the dark alley. I have always wondered..... who are my real parents? What exactly happened to them? I have always been a good assassin; I wonder if it has to do something with them. If I had enough time, I would work on my identity; But every day, I am just too busy  just to keep myself safe.....

I stopped in front of a small house. This is where he is supposed to live. I need answers, and a place to stay. So, let's hope.

I knocked the door. Within a second, it burst open.

"Get in. I had been expecting you......all afternoon."
