Chapter 5: We Are Not Murderers.

Nate's POV.

It was so strange what happened last night, why would someone steal a diary.

I was getting an update after every 2 hours from my guards. The situation was cool now. I was so caught up, that I almost forgot about the party.

I quickly ran to shower,did my hair, got dressed up. I was wearing a navy blue  two piece suit for the party. It was almost 7 and I still hadn't picked Em.

I fired my car engine and started driving as fast as I could.

At Emery's house.

I rang the door bell and Jenny opened the door, she invited me in, she just can't stop staring at me. First I thought something must be wrong but then I remembered it's just my charm  that many girls can't resist.

"Where  are the flowers"? Jenny asked.

"What flowers?"

"Aren't you supposed to get flowers for your girlfriend when you go to a date party?"

Oh god! this girl is totally mad.

"It's not a date Jenny, it's just a party, and most importantly we are not dating we are best friends!"

"Come on which century you live in, no one can be just "friends", I know the way you look at her is not normal. Anyhow why do I care, it's your bad."

" Come on Nate, come over here, don't believe her, she behaves like crazy sometimes. Mr Spencer speaks up."

After 10 mins Em comes downstairs. She was looking absolutely beautiful, like an angel fallen on earth. Her black dress perfectly hugged her body at perfect places. Her beautiful brown hair complimented her dress even more.

Of course I have seen her before in a dress, but not as beautiful as today. She had a unique glow on her skin. I couldn't believe she's the Em I know.

While she was climbing down the stairs, it felt like a goddess ascending towards earth. I may have also skipped a beat.

She stands next to me and grabs my arm. Like every protective father, Mr. Spencer advices not be late.

We start moving to car, I open the door for her like a gentleman and she sits beside me.

"You look beautiful Em! I'm sure everyone's gonna stare at you."

"Thanks Nate, you look handsome too."

After 20 min we reach to the destination. Before we get out of the car, I slip out the necklace I got for her.

"I can't take it Nate it looks expensive, I just can't have it."

"Have it Em! I went to a store once and saw it. The person who popped out in my mind was you, I got it for you, consider as a early birthday gift and believe it's not expensive, I got it from Target."

I helped her out to wear that necklace, it looked so beautiful on her as if it was for her.

I really don't know why did I lie about the necklace, actually it was of my mom's and it is quite expensive. But seeing Em with that necklace made me satisfied.

Emery's POV.

The place was packed with people all  wearing shimmy and sparkly clothes. As we entered, I noticed many eyes staring at me as if they didn't recognise me.
Nate had an firm grip on me more like a protective grip.

I saw Jane with a boy dancing in the crowd, as her eyes met with mine I could see the anger she had for me. I ignored her.

Then I saw Lk dressed in full black, she's a black obsessed person. At least she didn't paint her house black. 

I also met with Ian, actually I was surprised to see him at the party.

"Thank you Ian for helping me when I fell from the stairs, I didn't had a chance to thank you."

"It's okay Emery, I was happy to help."

The party gained it's pace, we were dancing, eating, drinking soda of course.
It was pretty fun, it cleared my head well.

"All the lovely couples on the floor please."The DJ announced.

Lk and I both stepped out.

"Come on Em let's dance, Nate came out of nowhere."

"You wanna dance with me?"

"Okay then I'll find Jane, she'll be happy to dance."

"Wait!!" I say, let me be bit presentable.

He grabs my hands and head towards the dance floor.

As the song started he placed his one hand on my waist and with other he hold my hand.

We both started dancing to the melodies tune, it felt so soothing and relaxing with him. He clearly knows how to dance. His eyes met with mine, he didn't even blink, I could see my reflection in those ocean blue eyes.

It was an beautiful dance. We were so engrossed in the dance that we didn't realised the music stopped.

The music then changed to rock music and the dance floor was crowed again. We both then started dancing to the rock music, it was so fun.

After few minutes I got out of the hall, to get some air, it was too crowded and I was tired of all that dancing and jumping.

"Too much people right?"
I heard a strong voice from behind me.
"Yess it is."

I turned around to look at the person and I started to freeze, I was so shocked that I could not even utter a single word.
It was the same intruder from last night, I quickly picked my dress up and started running but he was too quick to grab me.

I realised it was the time to show my kickboxing moves.
He had grabbed me from back so I stamped on his feet with my 4 inch heels. He felt the pain and backed off.

I took the advantage and started punching his face, but it felt like he was made of metal, he didn't had a single impact of it.

I tried to throw a kick at him but I wearing this Goddamn dress, I bet if I were in pants I would have taken him down.

A punch or kick didn't effect him, tho he stumbled. I started panicking now because he tried to punch me but luckily I ducked and gathered my all strength and gave him a hard kick.

At least this one worked, again I started running but this time it was different he suddenly came in front of me out of nowhere.

It really scared the hell out of me because his eyes were glowing red, it felt like he was not human. His eyes were flaming red and veins popped out from his face.

I couldn't believe what I was seeing, it was unreal, he was growling. I suddenly felt so small in front of him. He tried to choke me and I wasn't able to feel the ground now.

I was choking hard, I couldn't breathe. My vision started to blur. It was what death feels like.

All of a sudden I heard a sound, like when a metal hits with something squishy. I fell flat on the ground, I was realised from the monster. I couldn't see anything properly but what I saw made me skip a heartbeat.

I saw Nate with a metal rod in his hands, blood was dripping through the rod.

I turned my glance to the monster and what I saw will haunt me forever, he was lying dead on the ground,blood was oozing out from his head. Nate tried to move him but he was dead.

I couldn't think that we could kill someone, we are not Murderers.
