Chapter 12: Finally normal.

Emery's POV.

Nate dropped me to my house as soon as Kane left for his town. Kane has pretty interesting personality, it's really difficult to figure out what's in his head. Before leaving Kane gave me his dagger with a skull symbol, he says it's symbol of his gang and it can help to find him.

After such a tiring day and playing Escape Room with Kane I was totally exhausted. I just wanted my comfy shorts and jump into my bed.

I took out the keys from my bag to unlock the door as mom and dad were out of town for some family business and Jenny never answers the door on first call.

As soon as I opened the door a strong burning smell hit my nostrils. The smell was very bad. I walked towards the living room but it was clear, then I moved towards the kitchen from where the smoke was rising.

It was Jenny, she was holding a pan which was on fire. I ran towards her and quickly grabbed the pan from her and threw in the sink and turned the tap on. As the water hit the burning pan more smoke began to arise and the kitchen was filled with smoke.
We both began to cough and moved out of the kitchen.

"What were you trying to do, play MasterChef?" I ask her.

"No I was trying to cook, you see mom's not here and you clearly have more important things to do. So who's gonna feed me" she says raising both both hands.

"Okay but what were you trying to make" I ask.

"Eggs" she says.

"Don't tell me you burned eggs, seriously how can someone go bad with eggs that's next level of being a amateur." I laugh

"Yeah! What are you Gordan Ramsay."she says.

"No, at least I can cook something. So what now you spoiled all eggs there's nothing left"I say.

"I don't know it's your job as big sister to feed me." She says.

"Okay then let's order something." I say.

"Pizza" we both say at same time.

"You just took the words out of my mouth." Jenny laughs.

"Okay but we are splitting the bill." I say.

"Actually I spent all my money."she says.

"What do you do with all that pocket money." I ask

"You see a girl has her own expenses food, makeup, coffee. You know how much caffeine I consume in a day?" She says.

"Okay I'll pay but just for today and don't order too much." I warn her.

"Okie dokie" she says giving her best cute look.

"Hi! I would like to make an order. A large double cheese pepperoni pizza with extra pepperoni, two large coke and two chocolate mousse. Yes that's it thank you." She says.

"Didn't I ask you to order limited. Shouldn't have let you order." I say.

"Do you really think I'll skip the mousse, come on!" She says.

After 40 mins our order arrives and we enjoy our pizza sitting on couch watching Game of thrones.

"No!!! How can Jon die, come on there's still lot left for him." I say frustrated.

"AHH don't worry he's fine, he is just having a nap." She says while shoving up a pizza slice.

"Why!!!!" I yell at her.

"What?" She asks.

"Why would you give me the biggest spoiler. Can't you just shut up?" I say throwing pillow at her.
