you fall asleep in her arms

You jumped up from the couch when you heard the sound of Anna's car door close.

You opened the door before she could even turn the knob and leaped right into her arms. She laughed and wrapped her arms around you. "Miss me?" You nodded your head as she carried you inside.

She's been gone for a few weeks filming and you've been counting down the days till she'd return. And now that she's finally back it feels like all is right again. You felt happier than you did in that very moment than you had since the day she left.

She locked the door behind her and carried you over to the couch. She pulled you on her lap and you happily put your head on her shoulder.

"Missed you so much." You sighed and felt her drop a couple kisses to your head. "I missed you more." She said and started to comb her fingers through your hair.

You felt content - something you haven't felt since she left. You haven't slept well and haven't felt as comfortable with her gone. You felt relaxed.

You closed your eyes, the lack of sleep starting to catch up with you. You wanted to try to fight them but Anna wasn't gonna let you.

"It's okay y/n, you can go to sleep." She whispered softly, her nails lightly scratching your head.

Anna was so tired, also lacking sleep, and decided to close her eyes as well.

Not many words were shared other than a few little 'I love you's'. All you could hear was the soft sound of her heartbeat and all you felt was the love she has for you radiating from her.

You both fell asleep a few minutes later, finally feeling at peace and happy to be back in each other's arms.
