More Than Just Flesh And Bones

Chapter 1

When (Y/N) was 8 her school had organized a trip to a local museum that was owned by a billionaire called Michael Lombard. He owned a museum of dinosaur fossils along which merchandise from the original parks.
Little did anyone know that the billionaire industrialist had a lab and paddock set up in the basement for Legendary Doctor Henry Wu to use for creating raptors, which he did do, to some extent.
On this particular afternoon, when (Y/N)'s class was on their field trip, the raptors, Blue, Delta, Echo and Charlie, were being punished in the basement by Doctor Henry for shape shifting. Doctor Henry hadn't told Mr Lombard that the raptors can shape shift into humans and if Mr Lombard were to ever find out, Doctor Henry could lose his job, or life. The punishment consisted of leaving the 10 year old raptors in a cage without food for hours at end and giving them shocks of electricity whenever deemed necessary, to prevent them from passing out.
(Y/N) was walking around the museum halls with her friends when she was overwhelmed with a strong urge to use the restroom. Her teacher excused her, leading (Y/N) to rush into the restroom. When she got out she noticed two ladies walking towards a wall, tapping at a screen next to it, which revealed a spiral staircase, upon which they began their descent.
(Y/N), being the curious child she was, quickly followed them down the staircase and into the paddock.
"As you can see ladies, these dinosaurs are perfect and I haven't lost my touch. " Said Doctor Henry as he showed the raptors to the ladies before they all left into the laboratory to discuss further details of the purchase.
(Y/N) crept up to the cage and looked at the raptors that lay on the ground, looking hungry, before their bodies suddenly shuddered from the electric current passing through them. (Y/N) felt sorry from them and grabbed some dead rats from the bucket next to the cage, tossing it toward them so that they could eat. The raptors jumped at the food and ate happily, causing (Y/N) to giggle gently as they came to the edge of the cage. She gently touched their heads, while they did nothing to harm her. She smiled and pet them, allowing them to remember her scent, while she fed them some more meat before she heard the women leaving the lab. She quickly ran back upstairs and washed her hands before heading back outside with her school group. Over the past 10 years (Y/N) had almost forgotten about this experience uptil the raptors showed up at her doorstep.
When the raptors were around 20 they were being shipped to another facility. They saw this as their chance to escape. They shape shifted into humans.
"Act natural" Said Blue as he walked around the truck and grabbed some uniforms for them, closely followed by his brothers. "I think I see the way out. " Said Delta as he pointed to a door. The brothers made a run for it and managed to get out of the loading dock. "I can heard the doctor arguing with the men. Iconic" Laughed Echo as the boys ran further away from the manson and towards the city. "Shut up Echo they may find us. Are we sure our trackers are off? " Asked Charlie, a little paranoid. "Yes Charlie. We made sure of it. " Said Blue reassuringly.
The boys managed to reach the city within a few hours, considering they were pretty fast and had much better stamina as compared to a normal human.
"I smell meat? Blue could we eat something? Please" Whined Echo as he looked at blue pleadingly. "We ate just before we left Echo and-" Began Blue before he heard a woman's scream coming from an alley. The boys ran towards the alley and noticed a group of boys surrounding a woman, who lay cowering on the ground. "I think I just found us some food boys" Chuckled Blue as they shape shifted back into raptors, giving the men a nasty surprise, while also letting the woman escape and run away.
"Aww man the uniforms are ruined. We need a change of clothes" Grumbled Charlie as he wiped his bloody face. "I think I saw a place with clothes hanging on the window right around the corner" Said Delta, leading them there.
The boys got a change of clothes from the store and proceeded to walk down the street, traces of blood still evident on their bodies, but they didn't care about that all too much.
After walking for around an hour, Blue suddenly stopped dead in his tracks. "Do you smell that? I haven't smelt her in years, but I remember that scent as if we met her only yesterday. Follow me " Said Blue as he began running down the street like a manic, followed closely by his brothers. "It's her! It really is her! " Yelled Echo before Charlie smacked him on the head. "Shut up you idiot. We don't wanna wake up the entire neighborhood. " Hissed Charlie right before they all came to a halt in front of a tall apartment building. "She's on the second floor. We climb? " Asked Delta curiously as he looked over at Blue. "We climb" Nodded Blue as they shifted back into raptors and quickly clawed their way up the building, not leaving too many evident marks on the walls.
(Y/N) had fallen asleep on the couch while watching TV. She heard a sound near the window and jostled awake, only to see four bloody raptors standing there and looking at her curiously. "What the fuck? Am I loosing my mind? Too many fuckin movies. Guess I die now" Muttered (Y/N), not even bothering to scream before passing out from a minute amount of terror and more out of sheer exhaustion.
