More Than Just Flesh And Bones

Chapter 2

(Y/N) rubbed her eyes sleepily before opening them to notice that it was morning already. "What the fuck? I had the weirdest dream last night. Wait a second..... How'd I get to the bedroom? I remember falling asleep on the couch. That's so weird " Muttered (Y/N) as she got out of bed and walked over to the bathroom and began brushing her teeth.
She was staring at her reflection before noticing the refection of someone walking behind her. "Oh hey. Sorry I didn't know the bathroom was occupied. You should've closed the door you know" Chuckled Echo as he was now standing behind (Y/N), in his human form of course.
(Y/N)'s eyes grew wide as she screamed and threw her toothbrush at him, hitting him right in the eye. "Ouch that burns, that burns! Toothpaste hurts! Why would you do that? " Screams Echo as he ran around the bathroom, giving (Y/N) enough time to run out the door and lock him inside before running to the kitchen.
"Oh hey. You're awake. We're terribly sorry for barging in and all but we had nowhere else to go-" Began Delta who was standing behind the counter in the kitchen and making pancakes, before he was interrupted by (Y/N) screaming and running into the living room to notice Charlie sitting on the couch and using her laptop. "Hey Blue? I think I might've figured out how to use this-" Began Charlie before he looked up to see (Y/N)." Oh it's only you. Your search history is rather entertaining " Said Charlie rather placidly. "That's personal" Growled (Y/N) as she snatched the laptop away from Charlie while he grumbled in protest. "Hey Charlie? Who locked Echo in the bathroom? " Said Blue who was now walking into the living room after unlocking the bathroom door and setting Echo free. Echo pointed at (Y/N) and spoke gently " I don't think she likes us anymore. "
"Pancakes are ready for everyone" Said Delta as he walked into the living room and placed the food on the table.
"Who the hell are you people and how did you get in here?! " Yelled (Y/N), clearly confused, as she backed up against a wall and clutched her laptop against her chest.
"Let me explain. Remember the raptors you helped at the mansion when you were 8? Well we're them and we can shape shift into humans. We prefer our human form because this way it's easier to blend in and stay hidden. Other than the fact that you fainted when you saw us in our raptor forms last night. We're hiding out with you since we escaped the people who wanted to use us for war. So thank you for letting us stay here. You're saving our lives. So relax, we're not going to hurt you. Promise. My name's Blue, this is Delta, Charlie and Echo" Said Blue gently and smiled as he pointed to each boy,  causing Delta wave at her sweetly while Charlie only crossed his arms and stared at her and Echo chuckled even though he was crying a bit after the toothpaste incident.
"O-okay. Nice to meat-erm-meet you guys. My name's (Y/N).It's a lot to take in so you guys have to give me some time. Till then you should probably eat before you get hungry and eat me" She muttered under her breath. The brothers nodded and quickly sat down at the table and began scoffing their food down while (Y/N) began eating slowly, glancing at them occasionally in pure wonder.
"Echo quit eating so much whipped cream. I don't want you throwing up on me again" Grumbled Charlie, to which Echo responded by pouring more whipped cream into his mouth, straight out of the container, causing Delta and Blue to laugh.
"These pancakes taste exactly like the ones I make. How? " Asked (Y/N), puzzled as she looks over to Delta. "Oh it's because I found your recipe book in the kitchen cabinet. This seemed super easy to make so I went for it" Explained Delta proudly, causing (Y/N) to smile a little. "Thank you. " She said gently before looking up at the clock. "Holy shit I'm late. I've got to get to class. You guys stay here and stay out of trouble. Do not burn the house down while I am gone" Said (Y/N) as she quickly ran to her room to get dressed, running out the front door with her bags a few minutes later.
"Have a nice day" Said the four of them in unison before getting up from their seats.
"Well then. Considering (Y/N) isn't going to be of much help because she's off to college which is practically a waste of time but hey, what can I say, humans are weird. So I think we learn everything we can about acting like normal humans ourselves. I'll let you guys know if I find anything worthwhile or important." Huffed Charlie before getting up and grabbing the laptop before heading to the bedroom. "(Y/N) is great. What isn't great is that I have to use the bathroom again. I think I'm going to throw up" Said Echo, looking pale before running towards the bathroom and locking the door shut behind him.
"I'll wash the house up. Looks like (Y/N) could use the help. She seems pretty stressed out" Said Delta as he began clearing the table.
"I think (Y/N) would make a perfect mate for our pack. The boys already seem to have a certain liking towards her and besides, I'm pretty sure she'll like us too. Maybe this was meant to be. I've gotta explain this to her when she gets back. We should be her top priority henceforth. We'll help her deal with everything else" Muttered Blue as he looked out the window and watched (Y/N) run down the street to catch a bus so that she could get to college on time.
