Chapter 6.

"Hello! My name is John Smith and I'll be your tour guide for today!" a petite man introduces himself. I instantly recognize him as the man who got us from the airport! We all re-introduce ourselves and pile into the golf cart-type vehicle. Jordan's parents sit across from Jordan and me. "Alright, here we go!" John says and starts up the engine.

We quickly begin to roam through the LA streets, spotting lots of studios and famous sites. "And on you're here, you can see Warner Brothers Studios, wearing The Ellen DeGeneres Show is currently taping!"

"ELLEN DEGENERES!?" Jordan and I exclaim simultaneously. We love Ellen! We watch her show together at least four times a week! We're practically bouncing in our seats at this point. "Can we go see her show?! Can we meet her?!"

"Well I don't want to spoil anything, but there will be a time when Ellen will be in the same room with you..."John says, trying his best to hide his smile. Jordan and I cheer! "Alright, back to the tour!"

After about an hour of driving around the city, we finally a 30 minute break to walk around on our own! Jordan and I immediately suggest the shops, so that's where we go first. Jordan takes me by the hand as we walk into the first tourist shop.

"See anything you like?" he asks, looking around. I look too and shrug. "Let's look over there, I think I see some surf boards!" I follow him over to the other side of the shop, yupp there are surf boards over here. I'm not very good at surfing, but I know that Jordan absolutely loves it!

"You looking to buy some surf boards?" we suddenly hear. I turn to see a blonde woman of medium height. She has a name tag, so she must work here. "I'm Sally. If you need help with anything, just let me know!"

"Okay, thank you!" I say as she turns and walks over to talk to Jordan's parents.

"So Maegan, do you wanna buy a surfboard? I've always wanted to teach you!" He asks and wiggles his brows. I agree, giggling, and he cheers. "Cool! Which one do you like best?"

I look at the boards; they only come in a few colors and designs. I choose the only teal one, my favorite color.

"Haha, I knew you'd take that one." He says and carries it for me. We walk over to the checkout where cashier rings us up.

"Okay, that'll be 12.99, cash or credit?" a man with brown shaggy hair asks us.

"Cash," Jordan replies, pulling out the ten dollar bill from his back pocket. I give a five dollar bill and the man gives me change. "Thank you!"

"No problem, have a good day." The man says, handing us the surfboard and the receipt. We walk back over to Jordan's parents who are looking at snow globes.

"Hey kids, have you found anything interesting yet?"

"We bought a surfboard! Isn't it pretty? Jordan's going to teach me how to surf!" I say happily, slipping my hand into his.

"That's good! I hope you have fun, and stay safe!" Mrs. Jansen warns. She always worries about our safety.

"We'll be fine! Trust me, I'm a professional." Jordan says cockily. We all laugh and head over to the next shop; this one is a clothes store.

"Yay! Shopping!" I exclaim. I am sooo excited to buy some American clothes! This is going to be the highlight of this whole day!

"Here we go..." Jordan says as he playfully rolls his eyes. I gently elbow him in the side and stick my tongue out at him.

"You don't understand what it's like to be a teenage girl going shopping in America for the first time! This is a life-changing event!"

"Really? Life-changing? Your whole life is going to be changed because of this?" He asks, looking at me funny.

"Well... yeah! Now come on, no time to waste! Oooh over there first!" I exclaim when I see a rack of scarves.

"Oh brother..." We head over and I try some on, looking in a full length mirror.

"I think this one will look good on you, Jordan!" I swiftly wrap a hot pink scarf around his neck and turn him to face the mirror.

"Well, as gorgeous as I look in this, I don't think pink is my color." He says sarcastically.

"It's perfect!" I retaliate. "It complements your eyes, and it matches your skin tone!"

"Oh goodness, Jordan! Are you buying that?!" Mr. Jansen asks with a shocked expression on his face. Jordan and I burst out laughing.

"Yes, father! I am buying this! Isn't it lovely?"

"Uh... why don't I take you to the men's section over there?" he asks and we all laugh again. Jordan goes with his father, and that leaves me with his mum.

"Aren't these clothes nice?" I ask her, starting up a conversation.

"They are! Nice, and soft too!" She smiles and plops hat down on her head. "So how are things going with Jordan...?"

I should've seen this coming... "Haha, I think that everything is going good... at first it was slightly awkward, considering we've just been friends for so long. But now everything feels completely natural. Of course he's a main part of my life, and it's nice to know that we're even closer. So... yeah haha."

"Good! I'm glad to hear that things aren't too strange between you two. I've got to admit; I've been expecting you two to date for a while."

"Really? Has everyone that?!" I ask, feeling a bit surprised.

"Yes! You two are that perfect for each other!" She replies with an obvious tone to her voice. So all this time, people have been expecting Jordan and I to date, but no one ever said anything? Well that wasn't very helpful at all...

"Okay, we got some men's clothes this time!" Jordan exclaimed, suddenly coming back over with his father. They now had a shopping cart filled to the top with tee shirts, shorts, and sneakers. His dad rolled his eyes as he continued to pushed the cart to us. I couldn't help but giggle at the look of disapproval on Jordan's mother's face.

"How exactly do you expect us to pay for all of this?!" She asked her son, who now had this 'thinking face' on.

"Well maybe we can sell a few organs to pay off the bill..." He joked. We all glared at him, but soon burst out laughing. "Okay, I'll go put some of this back..."

As he goes to empty half of the trolley cart back onto the shelves and racks, I pick up a few items, not wanting to waste time.

After paying for our clothes, Mr. Jansen looks down at his watch. "I think it's about time to leave." We all exit the shop and meet up with John, tour guide.

"I hope you all had a good time exploring and shopping around! I see you bought a few things!" John says, eyeing my new surfboard and our bags of clothes. Jordan and I giggle.

Soon, we're back at the hotel and waving goodbye to John. Right when we enter through the giant double-doors, we are again greeted by Jordan's new managers.

"Did everyone enjoy their trip?" They ask. We all nod and share about our lovely morning.

"Glad to hear it! Just letting you know, at noon we'll be visiting a nearby recording studio!"

Jordan and I nearly burst with excitement! In about thirty minutes, we'll be heading to real recording studio! Things are getting pretty serious! (:
