CHAPTER 11

SEOJOON'S POV
-Time skip to the next day-

I wake up soon, do my morning routine, have breakfast, and later on get on my uniform. Today I'll head to the police station along hyung since he starts at the same time as I do today.

-Namjoon: Those little kittens here... When did you bring them?
-Seojoon: Some weeks ago, I found them when I was at the S3... They didn't have a place to live and since they are really cute, I decided to keep them... (chuckles)
-Namjoon: Why didn't I notice until now?
-Seojoon: Because you are barely at home, and since they are babies, they sleep a lot and probably hide from you... (srughs)
-Namjoon: Do they have names or something?
-Seojoon: Yeah, I named them Skull and Crime... (smiles) Perfect names for a policeman's pets, right?

-Namjoon: (chuckles) Yeah, perfect names... Are you ready to leave?
-Seojoon: Yeah, let's go (smiles)

We then head to the police station, and once I'm in my office, I lock the door so no one bothers me while I try to locate the Shin family and the Park.

I need to find them in order to continue with the case... Plus, today I'll finally work peacefully since Yeri is at home studying...

Let's see, as I can see at the registration, the Shin family is actually living at the Gangnam neighborhood... Kinda expensive, I guess they are still rich people...

And about the Park... There's a lot of families, but with the description that Baek Taejin gave me, there's none... The only trace is a long flight to Australia...

Don't tell me... Is it possible for them to have moved abroad and now be living there? Why can't they stay still here in Seoul?

I guess there's something fishy between those families after all... But if I want to know anything more, I'll need to personally talk with them...

I exit my office and catch Jaemin flirting with one of the citizens... What does he think he's doing?

-Seojoon: Jaemin?
-Jaemin: Ah, Seojoon-ah... I thought you were busy... (giggles)
-Seojoon: Yeah, actually... I need to head to Gangnam... I need to check something there...
-Jaemin: Sure, don't worry... I have everything under control here... (chuckles)
-Seojoon: Yeah sure, I trust you (smiles and heads to the girl) By the way, he already has a fiance so don't belive his words... (leaves)
-Jamin: Yah! Seojoon you are dead man! (pissed)

That's what he deserves for not doing his job properly... He can't flirt with the citizens because this is a serious place.

I get inside my car and start heading to Gangnam... I wonder if they'll accept to talk with me... This happened long time ago, maybe they just prefer to forget about those hurting memories...

-Time skip until you reach the Shin's house-

Okay, so here I am... I have everything I need. A notebook, a pen, and of course what is more important... My identification...

-Seojoon: (knocks the door) Open the door please, this is the police...
-Man: How can I help you? (serious)
-Seojoon: (looking at the papers) Excuse me, are you... Shin Gohyun?
-Man: No... That's actually my father, what brings the police here?
-Seojoon: This may sound surprising, but I'm investigating the case of a missing girl called Shin Sooyoung... She lived here, right?
-Man: That was a long time ago, and I don't know if my father wants to talk about it anymore...
-Seojoon: It'll be fast, don't worry (smiles)
-Man: He's an old man, please let him be... This is like bringing him back to his worst moment... (sighs)
-Seojoon: But, don't you want to know what happened?
-Man: We know that it was because of the Park's son... (sighs) He hated my sister, and that's why he kidnapped her... (looks down)
-Seojoon: That's what you think that happened, but what if it actually took another way... What if she just got lost at the forest?
-Man: Are you saying that it was her own fault?
-Seojoon: No, I'm saying that we don't know exactly what happened...
-Man: However, although you may be right... It was fifty years ago, and you are just a kid. You should focus on actual cases... Forget about us, please... (tries to close the door)
-Seojoon: No, no, no, please (pushes the door to keep it open) I need information to solve the case... I can discover the truth!

-Man: We don't need your service, leave-
-Man2: Dohyun, what's happening? (opens the door)
-Seojoon: Ah, hi sir, my name is Hwang Seojoon, I'm a police officer, I'm actually investigating the case of Shin Sooyoung... (bows)
-Man2: My daughter... I think she deserves to rest peacefully, why are you bringing her case back  now?
-Seojoon: Because we may discover what really happened... Me along my colleague are doing our best to discover what happened to Shin Sooyoung...
-Gohyun: You don't need to investigate, you are too young to investigate something that old... Time flies and we need to learn how to get over those bad memories...
-Seojoon: But sir! You won't rest peacefully until you know the truth about your daughter...
-Dohyun: I told you to leave us alone (closes the door)

Agh... This ended up in the worst way possible... What do I do now? It's almost as if I didn't discover anything at all... I can officially say that we are stuck... We have no other evidence for the moment...

And what is worse... Now I'll need to tell Yeri about the fail with the Shin family... Plus, the Park are no longer living here in Korea...

Now I'll need to ask Yeri for help... After all she said that she has a special hability and that that's the reason why she's helping me...

Great, the time to show me about her hability had come. She better discover any other evidence with it...

For now I'll just return back to the police station and face Jaemin who's probably still pissed at me because of what I did before...
